According to Ben, it's time for him to be judged by the smoke monster, so Locke takes him along to do just that, encountering Sun and Fred along the way. We get more backstory and a few flashbacks summarizing Ben's experience growing up on the island and his many dealings with Widmore. So whatever happened to Sawyer and the gang since Locke pushed the old whirly-wheel? Well, according to this episode, their time jumps have been fixed, but unfortunately they're about thirty years before the time they crashed on the island. LOST RECAP: Old Friends and Older Enemies

Locke, back on the mainland, three years later (hint: where the Oceanic Six are, dumbass), finds himself soon face to face not with Ben or Eloise Hawking but Charles Widmore, who soon introduces him to his old friend Abaddon, who will help him convince his friends to go back with him, and by help he means “chauffeur.” Locke goes to meet several of the Oceanic Six, and some others too, including one teenager who has an older but very familiar face. The episode opens with Jack, Hurley, and Kate meeting up on the island. We flash back to Eloise as she explains to Jack, Sun, and Desmond how the Dharma Initiative discovered the island, giving instructions to Jack to collect something that belonged to Christian to take back with Locke’s body. There’s no sign of the islanders in this episode, which is kind of disappointing because we still didn’t get to find out what happened to Locke right after he righted the wheel, but there are some other pretty cool revelations, and it’s all in another great Lost, right after the jump. Jin has a mini-adventured with Danielle Rousseau, meeting up with Sawyer and the gang later, and having an encounter with the good old smoke-cloud monster along the way. On the mainland, Ben’s still trying to get everyone together, despite Sayid and Kate both walking off, and how he has a hook: he knows Sun’s husband is alive, and he can prove it to her. Desmond goes on his quest to find Daniel’s mother, despite Penny’s immense disapproval, while Locke is determined to find Richard in whatever time he’s in. Lost Premiere Recap: We have to go back.

Okay, now that we’re all done releasing our three-minute long sighs of relief that the best drama on TV is back, it’s time to take a look at where our beloved islanders and mainlanders are nowadays. The islanders discover that they’ve somehow been unhinged from time and are bouncing around different times on the island, and Jack and Ben unite to recruit their old friends for a return visit to the island. Kate is also confronted with a choice to make about Aaron, and Hurley has to find a way to hide a dangerously tranquilized Sayid after they’re nearly shot down by assassins waiting in the gloom of Sayid’s room. It’s riveting, it’s fun, it’s a must watch, and it’s also right after the jump. More...
