Since it has aired, there have been thousands of "The Young and the Restless" episodes. There are so many twists and turns in the multitude of storylines on "The Young and the Restless," but here are ten of the most memorable episodes of the number one daytime drama.

"Victor and Nikki Wed" In this 1984 episode that showed the first of many weddings and the characters who would really come to be the heart of the show, Victor and Nikki get married. Their theme song was "Through the Eyes of Love," which was from the movie "Ice Castles." The song would go on to be their song for future "The Young and the Restless" weddings as well.

"Paul Breaks the Bad News" In this episode Paul has to break the harsh news of Andy's shooting to Farren. Michael Damian made an early appearance as Danny Romalotti where he'd go on to star on the show for about eighteen years.

"Dru Checks into the Psych Ward" In this dramatic episode from 2007, Dru accidentally hurts Lily, which prompts her to make a really tough decision about her future. Sharon consoles a very distraught Brad on this episode of "The Young and the Restless."

"Michael's Wonderful Life" Here's a fun homage to the classic film "It's a Wonderful Life." Michael Baldwin gets the chance to see what life in Genoa City would have been like if he had never been born. Much like George Bailey, Michael discovered that life really is quite beautiful. It's one of the best "The Young and the Restless" holiday episodes ever made.

"Traci Battles Weight Prejudice" This daytime drama has always been great at bringing socially relevant issues into its storylines. In this episode from the mid-1980s, Traci reveals the lengths she has gone to in order to control her weight after Lauren's cruel bullying.

"Halloween 2.0" In this truly scary story from 2010, the woman who once terrorized Lauren and Jana makes a surprise appearance at a Halloween party. She comes in costume and disappears into the night. How do the other characters find and catch her? It's a truly scary "The Young and the Restless" horror episode.

"Colleen's Celebration of Life" This is a 2009 memorial episode for the central character that audiences came to know and love, the young Colleen. When she's killed in a shooting, it devastates the people of Genoa City.

"A Stunning Proposal with the Worst of Intensions" As Nick and Sharon's custody case is decided in this January 2011 episode, a proposal occurs in Genoa City that takes everyone by surprise. Blake's plans seem very sinister as he plots to get closer to Lily.

"Newman Goes Public" This episode was shocking for fans who have followed the saga of Newman Enterprises throughout the years. Rather than succumb to the demands of his children who have won a lawsuit against him, Victor decides to take his private company public.

"Sharon Transforms Herself" Sharon Newman is in great fear of her future because she is accused of a murder she didn't commit. She takes a really drastic choice of escape in this April 2011 epsiode of "The Young and the Restless."
