The “Freaks and Geeks” cast has gone on to have solid careers as some of Hollywood’s brightest comic talents. The TV series still garners a cult following, fans enjoying one of the smartest shows to get its life cut short way before its time.

John Francis Daley – John Daley is the main character, Sam Weir, in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast. The fourteen year old geek of the title that struggles through life with everyone telling him who he should be. Daley has reached great success as the FBI psychologist on “Bones.”

Linda CardelliniLinda Cardellini is Sam’s sister Lindsay in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast who drifted in with the “freaks” of the title after the death of her grandmother. Cardellini went on to play Velma in the “Scooby Doo” movies.

Seth RogenSeth Rogen plays Ken Miller in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast, one of the freaks on the show. Seth Rogen went on to have one of the most successful careers of all the alum from the show, working with show creator Judd Apatow on numerous projects over the years.

James FrancoJames Franco is Daniel Desario in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast. He is best friends with Lindsay and boyfriend of Kim Kelly. He is un-ambitious and has nothing to look forward to in life. Franco earned an Oscar nomination in 2011 and also hosted the ceremony.

Samm Levine – Samm Levine stars in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast as Neal Schweiber, a confident funny guy who can’t seem to keep out of trouble. Samm has gone on to appear in numerous TV shows and movies with highlights being “Inglourious Basterds” and “Sydney White.”

Jason SegelJason Segel stars as Nick Andopolis in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast, the son of an Army family who wants to play music but is reined to the fact he’ll end up in the military. Jason Segal has earned great success for his TV show, “How I Met Your Mother.”

Martin StarrMartin Starr stars in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast as Bill Haverchuck, one of Sam’s close friends who spends most of his time watching TV. Martin Starr went on to appear in a number of Judd Apatow’s productions including “Knocked Up” and “Superbad.”

Ben Foster – While only appearing in two episodes, Ben Foster also appeared in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast as mentally handicapped student Eli. Foster has gone on to gain critical acclaim in movies such as the western “3:10 to Yuma” and war movie “The Messenger.”

Joe Flaherty – Joe Flaherty stars as Harold Weir in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast, a sporting goods store owner who always tries to scare the kids straight. Flaherty is best known as the crazed fan in “Happy Gilmore” who tries to run over Happy to help Shooter win the tournament.

Busy Philipps – Busy Philipps stars as Kim Kelly in the “Freaks and Geeks” cast, a tough girl involved in a relationship with Daniel. Recently she starred in the Courteney Cox comedy “Cougar Town” as one of Cox’s cougar friends.
