Saved By the Bell was the staple of any kid's Saturday morning growing up in the 90s. It was always entertaining to see what the students at Bayside High were getting themselves into. Saved by the Bell dealt with topics that the average high school student dealt with. From graduation to divorce, friendship and drug use, Zack Morris and the gang dealt with and overcame these obstacles with the help of their mentor Principal Belding. So where is the cast of the highly popular teen sitcom now?
Mark-Paul Gosselar – Zack Morris
Mark-Paul Gosselar played schemer Zack Morris who was always getting himself into trouble. Morris loved Kelly Kopowski and was constantly trying to win her over throughout the series. Since Saved by the Bell, Gosselar, 38 has appeared in Saved by the Bell spin-offs and numerous short-lived television series and t.v. movies. He's currently staring in Franklin and Bash about two unconventional lawyers on TNT.
Tiffani-Amber Thiessen- Kelly Kapowski
Girl-next-door Kelly Kapowski was the love interest of both Zack Morris and A.C. Slater. Not only is she the most popular girl in school, Kapowski is the head cheerleader and captain of the volleyball, swim, and softball teams at Bayside High. After Saved by the Bell ended in 1993, Thiessen, 38 went on to star in teen sitcom 90210 as Valerie Malone. She currently stars in White Collar as Elizabeth Burke. She is married to actor Brady Smith and gave birth to daughter Harper Ren Smith on June 15, 2010.
Mario Lopez- A.C. Slater
Much of the cast had little or no success after Saved by the Bell wrapped but not Mario Lopez. A.C. Slater, Zack Morris' muscular on and off again best friend pursued Kelly Kapowski before falling in love with Jessie Spano. After the show Lopez, 38 is best known for his hosting duties on Extra and appearing in the third season of Dancing with the Stars. He is currently engaged to dancer Courtney Laine Mazza and they have a baby girl together named Gia Francesca Lopez.
Elizabeth Berkley- Jessie Spano
Jessie Spano played by Elizabeth Berkley is the know-it-all, feminist long time friend of Zack Morris. On the show, Jessie Spano battled drug addiction and eventually became valedictorian of Bayside High. Berkley, 39 had a hard time finding acting gigs after Saved By the Bell ended. She starred in the 1995 cult classic Showgirls It bombed in the box office and was panned by critics. She is married to artist Greg Lauren and is expecting her first baby.
Lark Voorhies- Lisa Turtle
Fashion expert Lisa Turtle was the best friend of Kelly Kapowski and Jessie Spano and the love interest of Screech. Although she never returns the feelings, she does attend Senior Prom with him at Bayside High. Today Lark Voorhies, 38 has appeared on soap operas and sitcoms such as the Bold and the Beautiful. She is currently married to Andy Prince and they have one child together.
Dustin Diamond- Samuel "Screech" Powers
Samuel Powers known to his friends as "Screech" was the side kick and the butt of many of the jokes on Saved by the Bell. Although he's socially awkward and doesn't have much common-sense he is a great friend who is always willing to help out when needed. Although he doesn't have much luck wooing Lisa Turtle, he does date Violet for a few episodes (played by Tori Spelling). Dustin Diamond, 35 had a hard time breaking away from his Screech persona. He even resorted to filming and directing pornography in order to get away from his image.
Dennis Haskins- Mr. Richard Belding
Mr. Richard Belding, the principal at Bayside High is the authority figure on the show. He is known for his catch-phrase "Hey, hey, hey. What is going on here? " which was usually directed at Zack Morris. Haskins, 61 continued on Saved by the Bell and reprised his role as Mr. Belding in Saved by the Bell: the New Class. Since the show he has made many charitable appearances and guest-starred on shows such as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".
