Here are some short bios for the "NCIS" cast. It is currently ranked as the number one drama in the world. After years on the air, the show is finally being recognized for its sheer entertainment value. A bit over the top and not truly realistic in many cases, "NCIS" is still one of the best shows on television. It is entertaining and makes no apologies for it. The cast, who for the most part has been with the show for years, are exactly what make it so great. Casts that stick together make the best television shows.

Mark Harmon as Gibbs

Played by the never aging Mark Harmon, Gibbs is the mainstay of the show. Harmon has an impressive acting resume, including time on "St. Elsewhere," and was elected "People’s" Sexiest Man Alive in 1986. He was a successful football player in college and is credited with saving the lives of two teenagers in a real life accident after he pulled them out of a burning car while his wife called 911. He has been nominated for four Golden Globes and has over 70 acting credits to his name.

Michael Weatherly as Tony

As Tony, Weatherly shows off not only his dramatic acting skills, but also his comedic chops. Weatherly is well known for his roles on “Dark Angel” and “Loving,” and got his start on “The Cosby Show.” He married a supermodel/doctor not too long ago and has one son with his ex-wife. He has 28 acting credits to his name and has been nominated for five acting awards.

Cote de Palo as Ziva

As Ziva, de Palo plays one of the deadliest characters on televison. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon and was born in Chile, but was raised in Miami. Before she landed on "NCIS" she hosted a game show called “Control.” She has six acting credits and an acting award for best supporting actress on “NCIS.”

Sean Murray as McGee

As the geek of the group, Murray not only spouts technical jargon often, he also gets picked on constantly by Tony because of it, leading to some of the most entertaining moments of the show. Murray is the stepson of the show’s creator Donald P. Bellisario and has two children of his own. He has twenty-one acting credits to his name and two award nominations. He was also on “JAG,” another show created by his stepfather, for several years before "NCIS."

 Pauley Perrette as Abby

One of the most colorful characters on “NCIS,” Perrette’s Abby is also one of the most popular. She was once the lead singer for a band called Lo-Ball. She has rescued two dogs and is married to her second husband. She has had guest staring roles on “JAG,” “CSI,” “Special Unit 2," “Dawson’s Creek” and dozens of others. She has a total of 44 acting credits and an award for best female performance in the short film drama “To Comfort You” from the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
