Modern Family Cast

The ABC television comedy "Modern Family" cast follows the lives of ten main characters between three families, all connected by one member or another.  The "Modern Family" cast has earned several awards throughout the years including six Emmy Awards, three Writers Guild of America Awards and the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. 

Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett  

Portrayed by Ed O'Neill of "Married… with Children" fame, Jay Pritchett serves as the common link between all families.  Each of the "Modern Family" cast members are related to Jay either by marriage or blood.

Sofia Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett  

Columbian actress Sofia Vergara portrays Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, the much younger wife to Jay Pritchett and mother to Manny Delgado.

Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado  

Son of Gloria from her first marriage to Javier Delgado, Manny Delgado is played by Rico Rodriguez in the "Modern Family" cast.  After Gloria married Jay, Manny joined the Pritchett family along with Gloria.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett  

Jesse Tyler Ferguson acts as Mitchell Pritchett in the "Modern Family" cast.  Mitch as he is casually known is one of two children to Jay.

Eric Stonestreet as Cameron Tucker  

Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet stars as Cameron Tucker, partner to Mitch.  Cameron and Mitch also have an adopted infant daughter, Lily.

Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy  

Sister to Mitch and daughter of Jay, Claire Dunphy, portrayed by Julie Bowen, is the link between the Pritchett and Dunphy families.  Formerly Claire Pritchett, she married fellow "Modern Family" character Phil Dunphy.

Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy  

Wife to Claire, Phil Dunphy is a real estate agent portrayed by Ty Burrell.  Together, Claire and Phil have three children, Haley, Alex and Luke.

Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy  

As the oldest of the Dunphy children, Haley Dunphy, played by Sarah Hyland, is a typical teenage girl obsessed with popularity, boys and her cell phone.

Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy  

Actress Ariel Winter acts as Alex Dunphy in the "Modern Family" cast.  Alex is the middle child of Claire and Phil and an overachiever, playing the cello and participating on the lacrosse team.

Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy  

Portrayed by Nolan Gould, Luke Dunphy is the youngest child and only son of Claire and Phil.  Luke is described as offbeat and marching to the best of his own drummer.
