The 10 best 90's sitcoms will certainly vary from one person to another. The '90s was a groundbreaking time in television history. New genres and niches were explored; minority groups got a voice. This list is compiled in no particular order, highlighting the best of laughter and often tears which was brought into our homes each night.

"Frasier" was definitely a stroke of genius, no pun intended. As one of the most decorated sitcoms in history, "Frasier" offered sharp wit, funny neuroticisms, heartwarming characters and an adorably funny dog. This sitcom ran from 1993 to 2004, earning 37 Emmy Awards and plenty of adoration worldwide.
"The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" in many ways launched big-screen star, Will Smith’s career. Earning audience sympathy with the rags to riches storyline, the cast exceeds all expectations with hilarious comedy. A successful run from 1990-1996 engraved the funky rap theme song into many young minds and even now, this sitcom brings back fond memories.
"The Nanny" was a modern day twist on “My Fair Lady”meets “The Sound of Music” in a Brooklyn accent. We followed this modern day fairytale, rooting for Fran all the way from day one. The crazy humor, the voice and heartwarming sweetness of this sitcom earns its spot on the ten best 90’s sitcoms list. This sitcom ran from 1993 to 1999.
"3rd Rock from the Sun" gave the human race a comical and honestly amusing look at itself. Mundane situations and occurrences which we overlook were made poignantly funny. It was nice to laugh at yourself. The excellent cast kept us in stitches from 1996 to 2001 and a ten best 90’s sitcoms list would not be complete without this sitcom.
"Married with Children" brought dysfunction and humor together like a horse and carriage. The show was in the forefront of controversial sitcoms and had a bright cast. This shining example of what domestic bliss is not aired from 1987 to 1997 and had us in cringing stitches time after time.
"Ellen" makes it to this ten best 90’s sitcoms list as a pioneering effort in television. "Ellen" deservedly received four Golden Globe nominations and won an array of awards. Very funny, cleverly witty and with touching emotion this sitcom ran from 1994 to 1998.
