Rock bass player Randy Jackson is the veteran "American Idol" judge, who has been with the show since its very beginning, along with other original judges Simon Cowell and singer Paula Abdul. Jackson is a former bassist for the arena rock band Journey and played and sang backup vocals on their album "Raised on Radio". He also collaborated with former "Idol" judge Abdul on the song "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" in 2009. Randy now occupies Cowell's former spot at the "American Idol" judging table but more than does it justice.

Jennifer Lopez.

J'Lo is the new and currently only female "American Idol" judge. A longtime actress and singer herself, she has appeared in many movies and got her big break in acting while performing as a dancer on the comedy show "In Living Color". She has starred in many motion picture movies, including "The Wedding Planner", "Angel Eyes" and "Maid in Manhattan". Jennifer has also released six albums, and her seventh, entitled "Love?", is slated for release later this year.

Steven Tyler.

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler rounds out the trio of "American Idol" judges for the year 2011. As part of Aerosmith, Tyler has rocked and rolled since the early 1970s and has recorded fourteen albums with the band. His daughter, Liv Tyler, is a well-known actress who has appeared in several of his band's videos. Steven is not only an awesome, versatile vocalist, but is skilled at playing the harmonica and piano as well. He is known as the "Demon of Screamin'" and is extremely acrobatic onstage with Aerosmith. As a veteran in the music industry, he is an essential part of the "American Idol" judges table.
