Walt’s cancer is getting worse. He realizes that he’s gonna have to cook like crazy to make sure his family is provided for. After the cost of laundering his money, orchestrated by good old Saul, he’s only got 9 grand. So he and Jesse lie to their respective women and head out to the desert with plenty of Funyons and drinking water for a weekend long meth cook off. After a nice little drug making montage they come out with about 42 pounds and they stand to make over half a million bucks each. They’ve still got a little methylamine left so they decide to take a break and head into town for a grand slam at Denny’s. But it turns out old Jesse left the keys in the ignition and the battery died. So they try to jump the Methmobile with a generator. But the generator catches fire. And then Jesse dumps their cooler of drinking water on the flames. The fire’s out but they are fucked. They call Skinny Pete who agrees to come pick them up. The episode starts with that dorky guy from Hustle and Flow trying to buy some ice from Badger (who by the way is one of my favorite characters).  It appears Heisenberg has cornered the market and jacked up the price. After the dorky guy assures Badger that he’s not a cop, he buys some glass…then arrests Badger.   Hook up side note: Jesse got a little skin from his building manager Jane.   In other news, Hank’s having a minor meltdown because Tortuga got his head blown up on that tortoise. So Walt goes over there to try to talk some sense into him. Walt tells him that “fear us the enemy” and that he should kick those responsible for the explosion right in the teeth.   Once again, Jesse and Walt are short on payments from their underlings. Guess who’s short, good old Badger. They find out that Badger got busted.   Badger is in an interrogation room getting hounded by that dorky guy (I refuse to imdb his name). And in busts Bob Odenkirk of Mr. More...

Jesse wants Spoog and he’s got murder on the mind. So he goes to Spoog’s shotgun shack. Jesse’s more scared than Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween. He breaks into to this roach infested room and a creepy little red headed brat walks in and turns on the tube. But the cute little guy is the only one home. Jesse who dubs himself Diesel (#32 to all the Shazam fans) will have to wait to get revenge on Spoog. In the suburbs, Skyler calls Walt’s old friend Gretchen and thanks her for helping with Walt’s medical bills. Gretchen’s confused and they plan to meet up. Meanwhile, Walt busy at work, has a little talk with the principle Carmen who’s about a 12 on the babe meter and seems to have a little interest in our cue ball hero Walt. When Walt gets home there’s a hot ass Bentley sitting in the drive way. It turns out Gretchen showed up at Walt’s place but held up Walt’s lie about his medical pay. This is awkward. More...

And…we’re back. Walt sits dreamily in a cancer clinic, life moves around him. His doctor says, ‘cautious optimism’. His doctor though wonders about Walt and Skyler’s relationship. Looks like we’re in line for some more husband and wife drama.   Meanwhile business at the police office is slow for Hank. Apparently Hank suspects that Heisenberg, a.k.a. Walt is the next up and comer in the business. But Hank laments, that perhaps he’s is only an urban legend. There’s good news and bad news for Hank coming next. First he gets a sweet promotion  to a position in El Paso, TX. But as he rides the elevator, he gets what appears to be a heart attack. But by the time he makes it to the bottom, he has recovered. For the first time, we a see a weakness in Hank who apparently is affected by anxiety attacks.   Finally Jesse makes his grand entrance into the episode. He pulls the Methmobile into Clovis’ scrap yard and pays the big dumb animal for the towing, storage and the broken porta-potty. More...

Another week gone by, another meth addled story of lies and close scrapes for our two favorite kingpins. “Hey Captain America”, says a bum to Jesse as he is walking into a convenience store to meet up with Walt. Walt and Jesse decide they are going to have to put cooking on hold for a little bit while Walt’s family gets less suspicious. So Walt tries to be sweet and get on Skyler’s good side. He cooks them breakfast but Skyler is skeptical, as usual.  Next, Walter reps Boz Skaggs as one of the best musicians of all time, maybe he’s been getting high on his own supply. While cleaning up, Walt attempts to cover up the his second cell phone. Skyler, though, is unimpressed and storms out to Walt’s dismay. Meanwhile Jesse’s parents have wised up to his drug trafficking ways. So they decide to evict him from his house which they have the property rights to. Jesse’s got 72 hours to get out.  More...

The promise of brief nudity comes to fruition before the opening credits even role when Walter is seen walking around naked in a grocery store. In shock and in the hospital, Walter’s family is relieved to find their cancer stricken patriarch. Walter then takes to lying, giving a bogus story about where he was and covering up his knowledge of Hank’s bloodletting of Tuco from Episode 2. Meanwhile Hank reveals to his superiors that he was busy searching for Walter when he ran into Tuco. This leads his superiors to question Walter and Jesse’s past as high school student and teacher. We join Walter and Jesse where we left them at the end of last season. Our two favorite meth manufacturers are able to produce enough pure, albeit blue, crystal meth to satisfy their new sociopath dealer named Tuco. After Tuco leaves, Walter, who is suffering from terminal lung cancer, decides he will need to make about $750,000 to leave to his wife and kids. Jesse buys a gun for protection at a fast food restaurant after he and Walter witness Tuco accidentally murder one of his lackeys. Jesse figures that Tuco will probably be coming for them to tie up all the lose ends. So Jesse and Walter contemplate murdering Tuco during an upcoming drug deal. Hank views the video from a robbery that Walter and Jesse committed at the end of last season. Hank theorizes that they’re some new big players in town and that they should be careful not to be caught by rival dealers first. Little does Hank know that Walter is the burglar from the video.
