‘Jurassic Park 4′ Was Almost Ridiculous

While Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes scribes tinker away on the script for Jurassic Park 4, we can take a look at the concept art for an earlier iteration of that film. I never thought they’d top the day-glo dinosaur from Jurassic Park 3 designed to push more toys, but they have. Dinosaur-human hybrids. Eat your heart out, The Amazing Spiderman.

Based on a script by William Monahan (The Departed) and John Sayles (The Spiderwick Chronicles), the fourth film in the series would feature a genetics lab mixing dinosaur and human DNA for some reason. Thankfully, that movie was never made and we didn’t have to see Jeff Goldblum kick one of these things in the nards.

Collin Farrell Is A Gangster In Love In ‘London Boulevard’ Trailer

Okay. Here it is. The trailer for William Monahan‘s first go behind the camera, London Boulevard. Colin Farrell stars as a gangster who falls in love with with a starlet played by Keira Knightley. What a perfect match. Who better for a media target to get involved with than a guy who can kick the sh*t out of TMZ. Make an example by breaking a few of their necks, and they’ll let you walk through LAX unencumbered.

Of course, it’s not all sunshine, lollipops, and neck-snaps. The sucky part of being a gangster means you need to kill all of your co-workers before you can shift careers, otherwise they’ll try to interfere with your future happiness like a bunch of dicks. That’s what Ray Winstone is up to when he shows up dressed like Royal Tenenbaum. Does two weeks notice mean nothing overseas?

In the funny accent tour-de-force Edge of Darkness, Mel Gibson stars as a Boston detective searching for answers in the murder of his daughter. Was she killed in an attempt on his life or does the reason behind her assassination go much deeper? Mel intends to find out by smashing every window, door, and face in Suffolk County. We haven’t seen Mel this riled up since he wanted his son back in Ransom.

Written by William Monahan (The Departed) and directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale), it seems to have a hint of Mel’s fingerprints on it as well.
