‘Megamind’ Trailer Pretty Much Just Teases
Thursday, May 20 by

Stroke humor in its purest form. Dreamworks has released a full length trailer for their new animated film Megamind. It wants so very badly to be The Incredibles, but without the voice talent of Coach, a.k.a Craig T. Nelson, it's pretty much S.O.L. They could have at least tried for Jerry Van Dyke. The trailer plays out more like a teaser that pimps the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill. I had to read the film's official synopsis to get a firm grasp of the plot, and the major turning point isn't even revealed in the trailer. Also, can we please put a cap on how many animated movies an actor can lend their voice to? Brad Pitt was a good get, but Jonah's shuffled up to the microphone in his P.J.s far too many times recently. Check out the trailer after the jump, and the synopsis so you can fill in the blanks. Megamind takes over theaters November 5, 2010.

No ‘Anchorman 2′ For You, AGAIN!!
Thursday, April 29 by

As previously reported, Adam McKay has a serious case of the frownies today. After severely cutting the budget, Anchorman 2 is still a no-go with Paramount. There was a glimmer of hope earlier this week when the original cast agreed to cut their prices, but Paramount decided to pass all the same.I imagine it went something like this:ADAM McKAY: So there you have it, The Further Legends of Ron Burgundy!!PARAMOUNT EXEC: Very funny. But I'll need to consult with my adviser.SLAMS MAGIC 8 BALL DOWN ON DESK.PARMOUNT EXEC: Oooh. It is decidely not so. MWUHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!MAGIC 8 BALL: MWUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!A TEAM OF BAYWATCH WRITERS CLOSES DOOR ON McKAY'S FACE.(via /Film)

‘The Other Guys’ Trailer
Friday, April 9 by

The trailer for The Other Guys has dropped and it provides a great deal more context than the fancy schmancy motion poster did. Although a part of me is missing the "Ridin' Dirty" background music. Watch out, synopsis comin' atchya! Set in New York City, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who’s more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident with his quick trigger finger. Allen and Terry idolize the city’s top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don’t quite go as planned.

‘The Other Guys’ Motion Poster
Friday, March 26 by

A teaser for The Other Guys hit ShoWest last week and now Yahoo has officially released it to people who aren't allowed back in Vegas, deeming it a "motion poster." Call me old fashioned, but I like a play and pause button on my media. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell sliding across screen like a couple of bad ass cops is a damn fine thing to witness so enjoy the autoplay and autorepeat. Don't you DARE close that window until it's cycled at least 10 times. Check out the fancy, shmancy motion poster after the jump.

No ‘Anchorman 2′ For You!
Tuesday, March 23 by

In 2004, Anchorman swept through theaters and supplied comedy nerds, Snorg Tees, and douchebags on MTV dating shows with catchphrases galore. Sadly, the unjust box office failure of Brüno has caused a catchphrase drought, one that won't be remedied by the Channel 4 news team apparently. After failing to reunite all the players for Anchorman 2, Will Ferrell is waving the white flag of surrender. He tells IMDB, "I thought we were doing it. Now I've heard it's going to be too hard to get everyone together."That's sad for the many fans of Anchorman, but totally understandable. Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner are far too busy providing cameos in one another's movies to actually get together to film a movie.

‘The Other Guys’ Teaser Trailer
Wednesday, March 17 by

Someone at ShoWest snagged some footage of the new Adam McKay directed comedy The Other Guys starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. I'm really digging how Marky Mark is the Cash to Ferrell's Tango. Sure, Wahlberg is playing another ramrod cop, but don't fix it if it ain't broke, yaknowwhatI'msayin'? And Ferrell wears glasses in this film, which I haven't seen him sport in awhile. As long as he doesn't do the whole man-child act again, I'll sit in another darkened theater with him. Here's some context for all you brainiacs:

Will Ferrell will be Conan’s Last ‘Tonight Show’ Guest
Wednesday, January 20 by

Will Ferrell helped Conan O'Brien start his run on The Tonight Show, and now he's going to help him end it. Conan will be retiring from NBC this Friday night after calling the network home for seventeen years. When Ferrell appeared on Conan's first Tonight Show episode he was carried out on stage by Egyptian slaves. This time I'm hoping he carries out a box of Molotov cocktails and him and Conan go apeshit on that shiny new studio Jeff Zucker built him. Sure, audience members might be harmed in the process, but there's nothing like a few charred tourist corpses to get your point across. Here is Conan's final guest line-up:Wednesday, Jan. 20: Adam Sandler, Joel McHale and musical guest Joss Stone Thursday, Jan. 21: Robin Williams and musical guest Barry Manilow Friday, Jan. 22: Tom Hanks, Will FerrellTom Hanks is going to be there, too?! Oh man, that place would burn to the ground. (Movieline)

Will Ferrell Is Highly Overpaid
Thursday, November 19 by

Recently I reported that Forbes had crowned Simon Cowell the highest paid man on television. Now they've released a more pithy list and Will Ferrell sits at the top. Ferrell has been cited as the most overpaid actor in Hollywood based off the financial returns of his movies. This is of course due to flops like Land of the Lost and Semi Pro. An outraged Sean Penn commented, "Will Ferrell is one of our finest actors… who is willing to drop trow for laughs."Second on the list is Ewan McGregor, which is really hard to believe. Think about all the money that the Star Wars movies raked in. Not to mention Angels and Demons, Robots, Black Hawk Down, and Big Fish. Did The Island really do THAT poorly? (Forbes)

WILL FERRELL DIES WHILE SKYDIVING WITH DILDOS
Friday, August 7 by

Death from Above…With Dildos – Watch more Funny VideosIn this new clip from THE GOODS: LIVE HARD, SELL HARD, car salesman extraordinaire Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) recounts the accidental death of his best friend McDermott to his lady friend, Ivy Selleck (Jordana Spiro).  Throw in the fact that McDermott is played by Will Ferrell, and that his death involves skydiving and a backpack full of dildos, anal beads and lube, and you've got comedy.  My idea of comedy usually only gets as far as lube (and a mirror), so this is pretty advanced stuff in my book.THE GOODS: LIVE HARD, SELL HARD opens Friday, August 14th.

RED-BAND TRAILER FOR ‘THE GOODS’ IS NSFW FOR BOOBS, POTTY-MOUTH PIVEN
Wednesday, July 29 by

A brand new red-band trailer for the Will Ferrell & Adam McKay-produced, Jeremy Piven-starring THE GOODS: LIVE HARD. SELL HARD has arrived on the nets and, boy of boy does she have a f**king mouth on her.  I use the feminine to describe the trailer like one might describe a sailing vessel.  But it also makes it a lot easier to segue into the fact that this trailer has problems keeping her shirt on.  Yes, this one's got boobs aplenty on top of Piven and company's potty mouths.  There's so much big, fake mammarage that I'm forced to put the trailer AFTER the jump, so as not to scar our younger audiences, who shouldn't be watching it in the first place.  (Read: if you're under 17, lie to the computer; it doesn't know, like you're parents don't know you read this site.)
