Tomorrowland has been shrouded in mystery up until right now. Entertainment Weekly has a look at the highly-anticipated film from Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Disney as well as some details about what the plot might be. I’m so excited for this! Whatever it is!!

While exploring the remains of a shuttered Cape Canaveral, a Florida girl discovers a mysterious pin that when touched offers a glimpse of a utopian city of the retro-future. Changed by the vision, the girl is compelled to seek out George Clooney’s bitter inventor. Once a boy genius but now a hermit, Clooney’s character and the girl rest any last bit of optimism on reaching Tomorrowland. Also, it should involve really cool robots.

There’s a lot of myth and lore around Walt Disney. The man created what is arguably the largest entertainment machine in the history of the universe, and he did so in a very entrepreneurial fashion. So credit to him there. But he didn’t just coast right into becoming “Walt Disney.” Nope. He had to grind it out, as this trailer for Walt Before Mickey shows us.

And if you’re thinking that Walt Disney looks familiar, it’s Thomas Ian Nicholas, who is best known as the other-other guy from American Pie, and Henry Rowengartner from Little Big League. Haven’t seen much of him recently. Napoleon Dynamite‘s Jon Heder plays Walt’s brother Roy.

That’s some inspired, weird casting. Check out the trailer and buy a ticket to Disneyland.

Your window for watching Harry and the Hendersons and Steve Austin in Hunt to Kill on a stoned whim is slowly closing. Starz has announced that they will not renew their content deal with the Netflix Instant digital streaming service meaning that Netflix will lose access to newer titles from Sony and Walt Disney as of February 28th, 2012. Though it does mean that they can use the money earmarked for the Starz deal elsewhere (and better).

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Starz, LLC, President and Chief Executive Officer, Chris Albrecht, issued the following statement today regarding the status of affiliation agreement renewal discussions with Netflix.

“Starz Entertainment has ended contract renewal negotiations with Netflix. When the agreement expires on February 28, 2012, Starz will cease to distribute its content on the Netflix streaming platform. This decision is a result of our strategy to protect the premium nature of our brand by preserving the appropriate pricing and packaging of our exclusive and highly valuable content. With our current studio rights and growing original programming presence, the network is in an excellent position to evaluate new opportunities and expand its overall business.”

This is annoying as now we’ll all have to work a little harder to see Lucy Lawless‘s boobs.
