Fat Chick, Dorks Dominate Early Emmys

If the early winners are any indication, this year’s Emmy Awards will be dominated by fatties, nerds, and fuglys. In the interest of full disclosure, I’m a huge dork and my face looks like an orangutan’s ass. As such, I’m allowed to make fun of these people, kind of like Chris Rock can drop N-bombs.

Early winners include noted dork Jim Parsons (Actor in a Comedy Series/The Big Bang Theory), the always rotund Melissa McCarthy (Actress in a Comedy Series/Mike and Molly), and nerd extraordinaire Ty Burrell (supporting actor in a comedy series/Modern Family). In fact, the only attractive person to win thus far has been Julie Bowen (supporting actress in a comedy series/Modern Family), but she managed to beat out the ridiculously hot Sofia Vergara, who makes her look unattractive by comparison. If this keeps up, Steve Buscemi and Peter Dinklage are friggen shoe ins.

I’d rather stop writing about casting news for the satirical comedy Butter, but they keep landing hot chicks so I must oblige. Last week Jennifer Garner) who attempts to win a butter-carving title formerly held by her husband (Ty Burrell), only to be thwarted by a young black girl (Yara Ahahidi). In mirrors the themes of the 2008 Democratic primary, but with butter. If I had one gripe about that particular primary, it was that it didn’t have enough butter, even with Bill Clinton there. Ashley Greene enjoys butter so much she’s signed on to co-star in a movie about it. The film centers on an Iowa woman (played by Jennifer Garner) who attempts to win a butter-carving title formerly held by her husband (Ty Burrell), only to be thwarted by a young black girl (Yara Ahahidi). Wait, where’s the part about Greene slathered in hydrogenated oil? This has been one big tease!

Greene will play a rebellious high schooler named Kaitlen Pickler in the film directed by Jim Field Smith, who also directed hottie Alice Eve in She’s Out of My League. Just a suggestion, but a movie starring Ashley Greene, Alice Eve, butter, and absolutely no premise sounds like box office gold. Mainly because I would personally see it 250,000,000 times. (THR)

Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell is in final negotiations to star in Butter, a satire about the cut-throat world of competitive butter sculpting. The movie, which also stars Jennifer Garner as his glory-seeking wife, is actually an allegory for the 2008 Presidential primaries with Burrell appearing as a Bill Clinton parody who is forced to step down from his position of butter sculpting champ.

Wait. A movie that makes you look smart while you secretly daydream about the creamy taste of fresh butter? Brett Ratner is going to get soooo laid on date night. (Variety)
