Cinemax To Up Their Wardrobe Budget

Sorry guys. It looks like Cinemax used to be cool. The pay cable network has announced that it is forgoing the programming that helped it earn the nickname “Skinemax” in order to focus on producing shows that don’t require cock socks.

In addition to the new action series “Strike Back,” Cinemax has struck a deal to turn The Transporter films into a television series that nobody will watch.

“We’re exploring a few other shows like “Strike Back” that we feel would add value for the Cinemax subscriber, but there is nothing else to announce at this time,” says a spokesman.

Seems like another heartless move by a giant corporation. Think of all the fledgling actresses from Florida. How are they supposed to eat now? Or more importantly, WHAT will they resort to eating now?? (THR)

Welcome to the ultimate Jason Statham movie quiz. I made this quiz to celebrate the release of Statham’s new film, The Mechanic, and as a sign of my undying love for the British action star. How much do I love him? Well, let’s just say that when I sit and daydream about having sex with beautiful women, I always picture myself as Jason Statham. Louis Leterrier’s Wife Directs Eva Mendes In Krakenless Debut

You know how trailers often use phrases like, “from one of the producers of Lethal Weapon,” or “from the 3rd Assistant Director of Alvin and the Chipmunks…” to trick audiences. Well, I seriously hope the trailer for the film Wrecking Ball, an in-development feature from director Beatrice Leterrier, begins like:

“From the wife of the guy who brought you Transporter 2…”

Beatrice Leterrier, wife of Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier, is set to direct a dramedy about a family who has to deal with “the awful memories of a tragic event that occurred 20 years ago.” From that description, it doesn’t sound like there will be as many gunfights, explosions and Hulks as her husbands’ movies, so anyone going in looking for big action will surely be disappointed. However, Eva Mendes is attached to star, and that’s something her husband’s fanbase might enjoy.

Actually, although this is Mrs. Leterrier first feature, we’re sure she’s not depending on her husband that much at all. She’s got a lot of directing experience from shooting commercials and videos in Europe. Of course, if the tragic event in the family’s past is grandpa getting infected with a time-sensitive virus, we’ll know whose note that was. (Collider)
