Robin Williams will be starring in 'Patch Adams 2: The Heart Beats On'. Just kidding. I hope you haven't already smashed your computer.

James McAvoy is in the wrong place at the wrong time, Robin Williams is gonna bug the hell out of a bunch of A-listers, and Tom Wilkinson will be an over-the-top villain. Let’s get going…

James McAvoy is close to teaming up with fellow Brit Danny Boyle for Trance, a heist thriller that would see him playing a character named Simon who is stuck in the middle of a botched bank job. Michael Fassbender was first attached to this project, but apparently he put it aside when he decided to do every other movie in Hollywood. (Variety)

Robin Williams is also circling Gently Down the Stream, a rom-com that would feature Robert DeNiro and Diane Keaton as a divorced couple that pretends to be married for the sake of their kids. Robin Williams will play an obnoxious priest, just like he did in License to Wed. Old Robert De Niro never would have put up with Williams’ B.S., but times hav echanged. The film will also star Susan Sarandon, Topher Grace, Amanda Seyfried, and Katherine “Buzzkill” Heigl. (Showbiz 411)

Finally, Tom Wilkinson will be gracing The Lone Ranger with his presence as a railroad tycoon, which one can safely read as “bad guy. I am now openly rooting for Wilkinson to prevail over both Armie Hamer’s Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp’s Tonto. I’m tired of seeing Johnny Depp prevail, and Armie Hamer will always be a snooty Winklevoss in my eyes. I hope whatever damsel Wilkinson ties to the train tracks gets run the hell over.
You know that British guy who's in everything from 'Batman Begins' to 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' to 'Shakespeare In Love'? Maybe? Well, he's in another movie.

You know that British guy who’s in everything from Batman Begins to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to Shakespeare In Love? Maybe? Well, he’s in another movie, and I’m gonna be sure to look for him specifically this time.

Tom Wilkinson will star in director David Weaver’s The Samaritan with Samuel L. Jackson. The indie thriller is about a former grifter who’s trying to get out of the crime biz after spending 20 years in the big house. Since Wilkinson is playing a crime boss, I’m guessing that the crime world will pull Jackson back in. It’s like a black hole, that crime world. Except that it can’t trap light.

The film is ready to slink suspiciously into theaters early 2012. Weaver and Elan Mastai co-wrote the screenplay. (Variety)

We've got a new trailer for 'The Debt', starring Sam Worthington, Helen Mirren and Tom Wilkinson. Three Israeli spies snuck into East Berlin to kidnap a horrible Nazi doctor... Stop me if you've heard this one.

For those of you who have never seen a movie where the villain is a Nazi – which I assume is all of you – then get ready for a treat.

Above is the trailer for The Debt, a Focus Features film directed by John Madden, starring Sam Worthington, Helen Mirren, Jessica “Young Helen Mirren” Chastain, and Tom Wilkinson. The film is about a Mossad mission in 1966 where three Israeli spies snuck into East Berlin to kidnap a horrible Nazi doctor. Surrounding that mission are dangers, secrets, and secret dangers. We follow the characters as they complete (?) the mission in the 60s, and thirty-some years later, when two of the now retired agents receive shocking news about their partner. *Duhn-duhn-duuuuuhn*

All goof-arounds aside, I can see this being an intriguing thriller. We see a lot of films about the Holocaust, but not as many about what happened afterward. Also, Israeli soldiers know how to kick some serious ass, and we saw a lot of Helen Mirren’s solid-looking boobs on a recent “SNL” episode I am intrigued.

So, did you hear the one about the girl with the cleft.....uh oh!
Next time your OB/GYN tells a crude joke or makes a "wrong turn," take a page from The Debt and bring the busta down, hardcore.

OB/GYN takedowns aside, The Debt tells the story of a team of Mossad agents tasked with capturing an infamous Nazi war criminal in 1965, and the secret that still haunts them 30 years later. Directed by John Madden and based on a 2007 Israeli film of the same name, The Debt is fun for the whole family, as long as your family considers films like Marathon Man and The Boys From Brazil "fun," which I assume they do.

Watch a badass OB/GYN takedown, after the jump.
