<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Poor Loki. Not only is he locked away in the least ornate of Asgard&#8217;s prisons for eternity, but his bosses at the bank took his ideas and put them into practice without giving him a promotion. The bank saves money, and they are using him, and he is the fool.</p>
<p>Also, his adopted brother <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/thor' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Thor</a> wants to team up and be frenemies in order to save Jane Foster. It seems that <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/thor-510/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Thor</a>&#8216;s bonehead idea of warping her to a dark, mystical battlefield has put her life in the type of peril that can&#8217;t be easily solved by throwing a hammer around. He&#8217;s really got to broaden his horizons.</p>

<description><![CDATA[Jeez. Dude really loves that horse.]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Though we aren&#8217;t shown any imagery of <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/horses/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>horses</a> firing weapons at one another, the full-length <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/steven-spielberg-drafts-war-horse-as-his-next-project/" target="_blank"><em>War Horse</em></a> trailer looks pretty good. The <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/steven-spielberg-will-next-direct-robopocalypse/" target="_blank">Steven Spielberg</a> film tells the story of Joey, a horse purchased for <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/world-war-i/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>World War I</a> combat, and his owner as he joins the war in an effort to reclaim his horse. What the hell? I don&#8217;t understand. Did the animal eat something that was important to him? Why is he so attached to that thing? Somebody&#8217;s got to teach that kid how commerce works.</p>
<p>We can find out for sure when the film is released on Christmas Day.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/thor-2' target='_blank'>thor</a>&#8216; target=&#8217;_blank&#8217;>thor</a>-2&#8242; target=&#8217;_blank&#8217;>thor</a>-loki.jpg&#8221;><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-206477" style="margin-left: 7px; margin-right: 7px;" title="<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/thor-510/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>thor</a> loki&#8221; src=&#8221;http://www.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/thor-loki.jpg&#8221; alt=&#8221; width=&#8221;<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/300/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>300</a>&#8221; height=&#8221;225&#8243; /></a>There was a rumor going around last month, possibly spread by the Norse God of Mischief himself, that Thor&#8217;s brother/archenemy <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/avengers-villain-revealed-in-upcoming-secret-trailer-or-by-clicking-here/" target="_blank">Loki would be the villain in the upcoming movie, <em>The Avengers</em></a>. This rumor, like all good rumors, made a lot of sense &#8211; comic readers know that Loki was the villain who cause <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/the-avengers' target='_blank'>The Avengers</a> to form in the first place. But it turns out this probably isn&#8217;t the case, at least according to <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/tom-hiddleston-884/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Tom Hiddleston</a>, who plays Loki in <em>Thor</em>. At the recent KAPOW convention in London, Hiddleston &#8220;strongly hinted&#8221; that Loki won&#8217;t be the main villain of <em>The Avengers</em>, and also suggested he won&#8217;t be appearing in the movie at all.</p>
<p>So now it&#8217;s time to take part in the Internet&#8217;s favorite pastime &#8211; mindless speculation. I&#8217;m mindlessly speculating that the villain in <em>The <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/avengers/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Avengers</a> </em>will be &#8230; <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/jon-hamm-too-close-to-death-to-play-superman/" target="_blank">Don Draper</a>! They can do a storyline in which Draper discovers the secret to eternal youth that gives him superpowers, so it could still be set in the present day. Make this happen, Marvel. (<a href="http://www.dailyblam.com/news/2011/04/09/the-avengers-movie-will-not-feature-tom-hiddlestons-loki-as-its-villain" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">The Daily Blam</a>)</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The people over at <em><a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/Thor-2' target='_blank'>Thor</a>&#8216; target=&#8217;_blank&#8217;>Thor</a>-2&#8242; target=&#8217;_blank&#8217;>Thor</a> </em>Posters Inc have been catching some flack for perceived <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/new-thor-posters-made-by-norse-god-of-laziness/">laziness</a>, since many of the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/posters/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>posters</a> have that &#8220;<a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/90s/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>90s</a> <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/superhero/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>superhero</a> movie&#8221; look and feel to them. Then, when they try to do <a href="http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/get-red-with-rage-over-new-thor-posters/">something different</a>, they catch holy hell from poster aficionados too! So it looks like this time, with these 6 character posters that have been released on several different websites recently, they decided to split the difference. They look like the infamous &#8220;red&#8221; posters, but with a more traditional color scheme. It remains to be seen if everyone on the internet will be satisfied with these.</p>
<p>The posters feature six characters from the movie, and they look like they should be holding cards with their heights and weights. There&#8217;s <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/chris-hemsworth-208/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Chris Hemsworth</a> at <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/films/thor-2' target='_blank'>Thor</a>, <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/tom-hiddleston-884/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Tom Hiddleston</a> as Loki, <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/anthony-hopkins-551/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Anthony Hopkins</a> as Odin, <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/idris-elba-372/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Idris Elba</a> as Heimdall, <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/natalie-portman-422/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Natalie Portman</a> as Jane Foster and Jaimie Alexander as Sif. Now you know a little bit more about Norse mythology than you did before. Thanks, Marvel! <description><![CDATA[Today we have our first official look at Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin in Marvel&#039;s Thor. Oof. One minute you&#039;re turning in thoughtful, Oscar-worthy performances. The next, you&#039;re threatening to retire because the movie where you pretended to be a feral, chimp man didn&#039;t connect with audiences. Then all of a sudden, you&#039;re in some weird, muscley armor walking through a Roman sewer with a piece of foil double-sticked to your eye. Thus, is the life of the thespian. The LA Times debuted this photo along with the news that both Thor and Captain America will undergo a 3D post conversion process before hitting theaters. Marvel and the filmmakers are well aware of the challenges this decision creates, and that is why they will spend &#34;an unprecedented amount of time&#34; on the conversion. What do you expect them to do? They&#039;ve already shot too much footage of hammers and shields being thrown at the camera to turn back now.
