Tim Heidecker Isn’t A Fan Of The Zach Braff Kickstarter Film, And He’s Got A Page Of Fake Script To Prove It

As you may have read here a couple days ago, Zach Braff, the millionaire actor, has turned to Kickstarter to crowdsource initial funding of his Garden State follow up, Wish I Was Here (ugh). How is Zach Braff, a wealthy person asking for money from less wealthy people different than Rob Thomas doing it with Veronica Mars?

That’s easy. People HATE Zach Braff.

Take Tim and Eric‘s Tim Heidecker for instance. He wrote this not-very-funny vitriolic page of script to parody or satirize or something the effort. Take a look.

Normally I dread doing interviews for press junkets. Why should I bother showing up to ask stupid questions that have already been asked a dozen times before, especially when bigger outlets are going to drown out anything interesting I might manage to glean. But when I was asked if I wanted to take part in an interview with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie (in theaters March 2nd), I couldn’t pass up the chance. And it went about as I expected.

Right off the bat, the pair seemed bored with my questions (not that I blame them, especially considering I was the second-to-last interview of the day). So rather than continue out of common courtesy like a normal person would do, the pair launched into a bizarre improv scene for an audience of one (me) in which Eric acted like he had been spiked with magic mushrooms, Tim acted like nothing was wrong, and I was left to continue asking questions like the asshole I am.

On the one hand, it was extremely awkward and intimidating to have a giant like Eric Wareheim sitting doggie style on a chair staring at me with crazy eyes while his partner eyed me with contempt. But on the other hand, it turned out better than any interview I’ve ever attempted, and probably better than any interview I’ll ever attempt. So thanks, Tim and Eric.

And for anyone who actually cares about what was discussed:

Robert Loggia was already familiar with their work since he had been on Tom Goes To The Mayor.
David Liebe Hart is not homeless, but certainly has a “drifter quality.”
The pair had to make some tough choices about which Awesome Show! regulars to use, and they hope to use those who were left out in future projects.
There will never be a Tom Goes To The Mayor movie because they have no interest in it.
For the most part, their rabid fan base has been respectful of their privacy, and has not crossed any lines.
Tim has no idea who would win a shrimp eating contest between the two, and doesn’t care because it’s a stupid question (Thanks to the guys at Double Viking for suggesting that one).

Great Job! Audience Walks Out Of ‘Tim and Eric’ Sundance Screening

The last time I remember seeing people walk out of a film was during the Saving Private Ryan beach scene. At that time, the audience departure had more to do with the brutal nature of the film rather than its quality. I can only assume the same was true during the Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie Sundance screening, where viewers reportedly walked out in droves “during a scene where the two guys are riding around in a cart chasing hobos out of the derelict mall, screaming ‘Get the f— out!’”

Brutal stuff, indeed.

But the fact that only two-thirds of the audience managed to sit through the film didn’t seem to phase Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. In fact, they seemed to delight in the fact that they were making their viewers uncomfortable.

“We’re used to TV where there’s not a [live] audience, Wareheim said durring a post film Q&A. “To see it with a group of people who are enjoying it, or cringing and screaming, or covering their eyes the whole time, that’s kind of amazing for me.”

In this clip from Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, Tim and Eric take time out of their busy schedules of being rich Hollywood actors to go down and help the denizens of the Swallow Valley Mall get a fresh start. They may not be the most qualified or handsome guys for the job. And one of them might look a little bit like an owl. But they’ve got some fresh ideas and synchronized pyrotechnics. If that’s not a positive step toward success, I’m only hardly lazily aware of what might be.

The film will be available On Demand this Friday and in theaters March 2nd if you’re willing to leave the house while very high. (Yahoo)

Nothing I can say will change the fact that you either love Tim and Eric, or you hate them to the point of wanting to light them on fire. Either way, you should know that the teaser trailer for their Billion Dollar Movie is here. Granted, it’s just a teaser, so we don’t get much info about the plot. But given the fact that it’s a Tim and Eric production, there’s not going to be a plot, anyway.

I’m won’t lie; I’m really excited. Then again, I was excited for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie as well, and look how that turned out. But until I know for sure, I’ll remain hopeful. #Shrim!

The film hits on-demand on January 27, and theaters starting March 2.

Yup, Tim From ‘Tim And Eric’ Can Make A Weirder Herman Cain Ad Than Herman Cain Can

Well, in case you thought Herman Cain would go unchallenged in the competition for “weirdest campaign ad ever,” you can rest assured that he barely had the title for 24 hours before Tim Heidecker of Tim and Eric fame stood up and said, “Not so fast there, Herm.”

(He calls Herman Cain “Herm” in this little parable.)

This droning song and video has me wanting to slowly march outside, through oncoming traffic, to find the nearest polling place so that I may “ride the Cain train” with a vote for Herman Cain. For President. 2012.

Do you think that if Cain lost the presidential election but won the title of “YouTube Sensation” that he would consider his campaign a victory? Lord knows I would. This guy hasn’t been on my radar for very long, but he’s really been entertaining.

Way funnier than George W. Bush and that whole “there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq” vaudeville act he pulled 10 years ago. That got old quick.

John C. Reilly On ‘Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie’: No Steve Brule For You!!

“Tim & Eric” fans who were hoping to see John C. Reilly portray Dr. Steve Brule in Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie may be saddened to find out he’ll be acting like an ass in a completely different way. Instead of sticking with the tried and true, Reilly will play a new character. Seeing as this is Tim and Eric we’re talking about, I’m expecting the character to be nuanced with a weightiness grounded in reality. Reilly tells The Playlist:

“His name is Taquito and he lives in the abandoned mall.”

Hmm, I’m surprised they couldn’t get Anthony Hopkins for the role.

Tim And Eric Movie To Feature Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, Abandoned Mall

Semi-abandoned mall, actually.

Something crazy is happening. Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are really shooting a movie, and it will really have a cast that includes Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte, Robert Loggia and Zach Galifianakis. They’ve all signed on. Oh, but that Harrison Ford rumor was just that, so n Indiana Jones / Spagett cross-over.

When I heard the news that Tim And Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie was happening, I half-assumed it was a joke, like their infamous promotional campaign for Shrek The Third. However, it looks like the stars of Adult Swim‘s “Tim & Eric Awesome Show” are planning on taking over the big screen… but what will they do to it, exactly?

The sketch show was anti-comedy at its most purposefully, elegantly grating, and also was dolled out in 11 minute episodes. As much as I loved the title and posters for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Comma Movie Film For Theaters, I fell asleep half-way through. Of course, I wasn’t stoned, which I was later told was the problem.

Still, the thought of Beaver Boys and James Quall on the big screen is as exciting as finding my Chippy. Below is the plot, or the thing that will semi-resemble plot. (TheWrap)

The movie is about the comedians’ characters, Tim and Eric, who, Wareheim said, “literally get a billion dollars to make a movie, and we make it, and things go awry, and Tim and I just decide to get out of Hollywood and become businessmen in an abandoned mall.

Heidecker interrupted: “Semi-abandoned mall,” he said. “About 10 percent occupancy.”
