I’m not sure that Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Garner understand where babies come from. In The Odd Life of Timothy Green, the couple is full of despair when they learn that they can’t conceive a child (they also recently Netflixed The Orphan, so adoption is out of the question), so the drive home and drunkenly write down the best qualities a child can have — athletic, artistic, ability to rock — and bury it in the garden Pet Sematary style.

Oh but what they find is far more gruesome. It’s their perfect kid that they had just geeked out over. But how is this so and who is this kid? And why are his arms so long?? We here at Screen Junkies feel it best that a child like this be turned over to the government for dissection. Just think of what we could learn from this strange visitor.

FUN FACT: If you watch this trailer in reverse, Jennifer Garner buries a child alive.

Everything’s coming up Ron Livingston.

The actor just signed on for two back-to-back projects. First, he’ll be going to Channing Tatumhigh school reunion. Ten Year already stars Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, Kate Mara, Justin Long, Anthony Mackie, Rosario Dawson, Chris Pine, and Brian Geraghty. Now we can throw Livingston into the mix. Given that he’s much older than the rest of the cast, it’s likely he’ll play a teacher or skeevy older guy or possibly a peer with advanced aging syndrome like Robin Williams in Jack.

After that’s in the can, he’s filming The Odd Life Of Timothy Green with Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton. In the film, Garner and Edgerton play parents who wish for a baby but get something unexpected. Do they get Ron Livingston? Like a Little Man-version of Ron Livingston? Or maybe Ron Livingston will play a child with advanced aging syndrome like Robin Williams in Jack. (Deadline)

Jennifer Garner Signs On for ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ and ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/jennifer-garner-signs-on-for-better-living-through-chemistry-and-the-odd-life-of-timothy-green/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/jennifer-garner-signs-on-for-better-living-through-chemistry-and-the-odd-life-of-timothy-green/#comments Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 Everyone wants a piece of that Jennifer Garner ass! Ahem, I mean talent. The in demand actress is in talks to star in Better Living Through Chemistry opposite Jeremy Renner, another actor who's grabbin' up roles. Garner has also signed on for The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Dolla dolla bills, ya'll. Gotta support those Affleck kids somehow. Vulture has the deets: Better Living Through Chemistry is a dramatic thriller about a small-town pharmacist (Renner) stuck in a loveless marriage who embarks on an affair with a "trophy wife" (Garner). She introduces him to prescription drugs, as it goes, and that’s when “things spin out of control” as the pair begins to devise a scheme to off Garner’s husband. The modern-day fable Timothy Green centers around a child-prodigy musician and his parents: Garner would play the mother, and we hear an offer is out to Mark Wahlberg to star opposite her as the dad, though he's expected to pass. (Vulture also hears that Joaquin Phoenix is on the "next step" of candidates to be offered the part if Wahlberg does say no.) Peter Hedges (About a Boy) is signed on to direct the latter of the two films, and if Joaquin gets cast Hedges will have his hands full trying to keep the looney tunes actor away from the impressionable young talent. Number one rule on set is no matter what Joaquin tells you, he DOES NOT have the secrets to success. His lessons always end in pooping on someone's personal property.
