Back when The Muppets had their new movie in theaters, Fox News attacked the film accusing it of being “liberal” and “anti-capitalism.” The accusations were lobbed toward the puppets because the film’s villain was depicted as an evil oil tycoon named “Tex Richman.” Big deal? Did Fox not also notice the talking eagle?

During a recent press conference in England, a reporter mentioned the Fox report to Kermit and Miss Piggy. Being the media-savvy swine that she is, Piggy (well, the person with her hand up Miss Piggy’s butt) absolutely shut down the cable news channel.

OK Go And The Muppets Team Up For Awesome Music Video

The bromance between OK Go and the Muppets continues. This time in the form of a music video that is a pretty thorough marriage of the Muppets‘ sense of humor and the band’s inventive viral videos. The remix of The Muppet Show Theme was recorded for Jason Segel‘s Muppet Movie and appears as the first single from the Muppets‘ Green Album.

As expected, it’s a pretty impressive effort that features many of the Muppets and their distinctive traits. Think of all the hours spent with hands up the talent. Did Hype Williams direct this?

First Look at ‘The Muppets’ and New Tech-Savvy Walter

This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly features a snap shot of Muppet chaos with Jason Segel smack dab in the middle. Most the characters in the new Muppet Movie you might recognize, but one precocious little fella stands out. His name is Walter, and he’s the one holding an iPhone that tells us these ain’t your daddy’s Muppets. These Muppets can video conference!

According to the magazine, Walter is “a sweet, slightly naive twenty-something Everypuppet who, in the movie, is the best friend and roommate of Segel’s character, Gary. Both Gary and Walter are die-hard Muppet fans.” Is Segel’s character a die hard fan of only the famous Muppets, or just Muppets in general? If he’s totally stoked by all Muppets then it must be rad rooming with one. The bursting into song could get annoying, but at least you know he won’t take a rank deuce in your shared bathroom.
