Demonstrating that NBC knows exactly what they’re doing, and yes, they remember Joey, thank you very much, the peacock’d network is moving forward with the Dwight Schrute spinoff The Farm.

And to prove it, they’ve cast Dwight’s little non-Mose brother with actor Thomas Middleditch who seems to be very avant garde with his comedy, despite the fact that his most notable role to date is his recent unremarkable turn in The Campaign.

Middleditch will be playing the role of Jeb, a lazy pot grower. In order to ease everyone into the slightly different world of The Farm, Middleditch will be appearing in the series finale of The Office. Because circle of life.
