Duncan Jones Pussied Out Of ‘Superman’
Monday, January 24 by

‘Moon’ helped rocket Duncan Jones to the top of many best director lists. It was only natural that the offers would come rolling in. Including offers that Jones was too plain chicken to accept.

Jon Hamm Too Close To Death To Play Superman
Monday, January 17 by

Ever since it was announced that Warner Brothers was saying “do-over!” after Superman Returns, the monolithic entity known as the World Wide Web has been crying out for “Mad Men” star and real-life Übermensch Jon Mann to play the Man of Steel.

RIP ‘Superman’ Star Susannah York
Sunday, January 16 by

Susannah York was a significant star in British and American theater and movies in the late 60s and 70s, but she’s probably most well-known to American audiences as Lara, Superman’s biological Kryptonian mother in the 1978 blockbuster Superman and its assorted sequels.

9 Aliens Not to Eff Around With
Tuesday, November 2 by

Not all aliens are created equal. If worse came to worse, I’m pretty sure I could take E.T. in fight. The same goes for that bitch Mac, from Mac and Me. On the other hand, if you put me in the ring with a Predator, he’d be using my skull as trophy in five seconds flat.

Because the threat posed by extraterrestrials can vary so greatly, we’ve compiled this list of nine aliens you don’t want to eff with. After all, throwing water on the alien from Signs is a fun way to spend an afternoon, while doing the same thing to a Xenomorph is a really bad idea.

Zack Snyder Dismisses General Zod As Rumor
Wednesday, October 13 by

Ladies and gentlemen, The Cranberries!!
Liam Neeson should hold off on practice-wearing plunging V-neck shirts. I took the liberty of throwing his name into the General Zod casting ring due to his resemblance to the character, and the fact that he'll willingly appear in any movie. But now it seems that we all, as an Internet, may have been impulsive.
Bad Taste recently had to sit through the The Legend Of The Guardians in order to get an interview with Zack Snyder. They asked if General Zod would appear in his upcoming Superman to which Snyder replied, "For now it's just a rumor."
So there you have it. Today it's a rumor, and tomorrow it will be announced as fact. And I'll be given the chance again to fulfill my 129-word quota. Stay tuned.

Grab Your Inhalers: Zack Snyder Directing ‘Superman’
Monday, October 4 by

Superman rescues mini Snyder. It doesn't matter why.
Zack Snyder is the lucky S.O.B. who has landed the directing gig for the Christopher Nolan-produced Superman: The Man of Steel. The Watchman and Sucker Punch director beat out Tony Scott, Jonathan Liebesman, Duncan Jones, Matt Reeves, Darren Aronofsky, Robert Zemeckis, and Nolan's own brother Jonah, who wrote the script. Daaaaaamn, that's cold, Chris. He's your brother. Your brother!
Family squabbles aside, Warner Bros. is a huge fan of Snyder. He's already directed three films for them, if you count the animated owl movie, and has proven he can handle major tent poles. Will Superman look awesome? Almost definitely. Will there be much emotion underneath the gloss and slow motion? We can only hope that Christopher and Jonah Nolan educate him in the way of story. That is if Jonah can quit giving him the raspberry for stealing his gig. (Deadline)

Christopher Nolan Narrows Search for ‘Superman’ Director
Thursday, September 23 by

Now that's just super!
Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas, the producers behind the upcoming Superman film, have begun interviewing potential directors, Deadline is reporting. Nolan will reportedly submit his choice to Warner Bros. as early as next week.
On the list: Unstoppable's Tony Scott, Let Me In director Matt Reeves, Battle: Los Angeles helmer Jonathan Liebesman (who just got the Warner Bros/Legendary job of directing Clash of the Titans 2), Duncan Jones, who just directed Source Code, and Sucker Punch helmer Zack Snyder.
What? This list is a farce! No Crispin Glover? No David Lynch? No thank you, Mr. Nolan.

David Goyer to Tackle New Superman
Thursday, February 25 by

Superman rescues mini Goyer. It doesn't matter why.David Goyer will write the new Superman movie to be titled The Man of Steel. This doesn't come as much of a surprise considering Dark Knight partner Christopher Nolan is shepherding the project for Warner Brothers, but a welcome one, nonetheless.  Goyer intends to look to the original John Byrne creation for inspiration. Brandon Routh will not star and Bryan Singer is not expected to direct. So in other other words, less gay, more fun. Don't pretend like that's not an accurate description.Goyer's story involves Luthor and Brainiac, and won't be an origin story, so if you don't know anything about Superman you'll be like TOTALLY WTF? Don't worry, we'll watch all the prior films at my house before The Man of Steel hits theaters. I'll bring the popcorn, you bring the Bryan Singer  (LatinoReview)
