Yes, he did give his patient dangerous drugs. Whether he realized the harm they would cause is beside the point, because Conrad Murray could easily be considered a victim too. A victim of Hollywood’s depiction of doctors. With role models like these, it’s no wonder he turned out negligent.

Dr. Evil

You can’t make an accurate list of evil doctors without including Dr. Evil. Turns out that it’s not an unfortunate name, as Evil has been the brains behind several plots to take over the world and extort its governments. Although, he can’t really be blamed for his evil leanings. He was raised by the Dutch after all.

Dr. Christian Szell

As a former SS dentist at Auschwitz, Dr. Christian Szell uses pain as his paintbrush. That and he looks slightly like a giant sea turtle. But back to the pain thing. A skilled interrogator, Szell drills Dustin Hoffman‘s teeth without anesthetic in Marathon Man while repeatedly asking his confused captive, “Is it safe?” Years later, Hoffman would go on to make Meet The Fockers. When will his suffering end?

Dr. Giggles

Easily dismissed due to his persistent giggle and gimmicky methods of killing victims with over-sized medical tools like giant needles, thermometers, Band-Aids, and blood-pressure arm bands, Dr. Giggle gets a bad rap. He’s perhaps the most insane doctor on this list and therefore one of the most dangerous. In one night, his house-calls severely cut down and entire town’s population. I can’t think of any other time where it was so easy to see a doctor.

I would like to do the same but instead of birds, I’d go in search of McRib.

While there, they also figured they may as well have a ¡Three Amigos! mini-reunion. Look how old everyone got!! Look how Steve Martin looks exactly the same!! And why is John Landis posing with his arms on his chest like that? That’s the position I imagine Martin Landau sleeps in.

The studio’s Planet of the Apes origin story, Rise of the Apes, is moving from June 24th to November 23rd. That makes sense, because Thanksgiving reminds us about how we took over this land from the Native Americans, so it makes karmic sense that we’d see a movie about apes taking over the world from us. Shame us with a big screen analogy, Fox!

Meanwhile, Fox must have a lot of faith in the Jim Carrey comedy Mr. Popper’s Penguins. They’re moving it from August 12th (the Baltic Avenue of summer movie spots) to June 17th (pure Boardwalk, baby). Let’s hope Carry’s penguins don’t… slip up!

This morning Variety reports that Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will be double-teaming the 82nd Academy Awards. Oscar co-producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman didn’t waste much time in snagging the duo as we told you yesterday that Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. had turned down the offer to co-host. Martin has the experience of both hosting and having had worked with Shankman in the past on Bringing Down the House. Sounds like two pretty solid hosts but oh, how we do wish that Baldwin were splitting hosting duties with Tracy Morgan.

BALDWIN: "Are you excited to be here tonight, Tracy?"

MORGAN: "I’m gonna get Oscar pregnant!"

BALDWIN: "Ha ha. Now Tracy, stick to the script."

MORGAN: "Sure thing, Alec B.. (long pause) I wann break Helen Mirren‘s water!!"
