Warren Buffett Brings His Considerable Acting Chops To ‘Office’ Finale

There’s a reason to keep watching “The Office,” even though Steve Carrell is gone, and that reason is… somewhat interesting celebrities. So, now all the producers have to do is load every episode next season with 6-7 celebrities and they’ll be good to go.

Billionaire tycoon Warren Buffett joins the never-ending famous person parade that is”The Office” season finale. Other celebrities making a cameo-or-greater on the episode include Jim Carrey, Ray Romano, Catherine Tate, Will Arnett, James Spader and Ricky Gervais. They’re all interviewing for the coveted position of Scranton branch manager for the paper company Dunder Mifflin. This just goes to show you, if you work hard enough, and become famous enough, you too can interview to become the head of the small Pennsylvania off-shoot of a poorly managed paper company.

Ricky Gervais Wants Sitcom Poison Will Arnett To Join ‘The Office’

When it was announced that Steve Carrell was leaving”The Office,” Ricky Gervais stoked the fires of speculation by noting that his replacement wouldn’t be someone you’d expect. He’s now recommended Will Arnett for the role. Umm, that’s exactly who we would expect.

“Had a little meeting with NBC about various things and recommended Will Arnett for a regular in The Office. Thoughts? I think he’s amazing,” Gervais wrote on his blog.

Though Arnett is very funny, I’m hesitant to see his cocky guy character show up in Scranton. I’d be more intrigued to see someone completely unexpected but still capable of delivering the material. Somebody like Christopher Meloni, if he could ever be lured away from the sweet teat of “Law & Order: SVU.” Or maybe my dad. He looks enough like Steve Carrell to fake it. He’s not as funny but, y’know, has his moments.

No ‘Anchorman 2′ For You!

In 2004, Anchorman swept through theaters and supplied comedy nerds, Snorg Tees, and douchebags on MTV dating shows with catchphrases galore. Sadly, the unjust box office failure of Brüno has caused a catchphrase drought, one that won’t be remedied by the Channel 4 news team apparently. After failing to reunite all the players for Anchorman 2, Will Ferrell is waving the white flag of surrender. He tells IMDB, "I thought we were doing it. Now I’ve heard it’s going to be too hard to get everyone together."

That’s sad for the many fans of Anchorman, but totally understandable. Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell Paul Rudd, and David Koechner are far too busy providing cameos in one another’s movies to actually get together to film a movie.
