“I love to perform so to be able to go back into something like Star Wars… what a lovely thing that would be to say, that I’ve been in all three trilogies. I never got a light saber before and I think just to have one of them, to be able to wave one of them around a little bit, would be huge. If having a miniature Sith Lord doesn’t work out with the next film’s storyline perhaps he can arm himself with a lightsaber in a sequel to Leprechaun In Space or something. The fans would allow it. (IGN)

The Mission: Impossible and Star Trek resuscitator recently explained to Empire his decision to turn down the Star Wars: Episode VII directing gig.

“There were the very early conversations, and I quickly said that, because of my loyalty to Star Trek and also just being a fan, I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things. I declined any involvement very early on. I’d rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them.”
