Since J.J. Abrams seems to be in the practice of rebooting everything that takes place in space, we’ve brought in some hardcore Trekkies to discuss the casting for Abrams’ inevitable Star Trek: The Next Generation reboot. Though I don’t agree with all of our panel’s choices, I do respect their right to be TOTALLY WRONG.

What do you think? Did they nail it? Nerd fight in the comments below!

Will J.J. Abrams be willing to take on a drama with elements of science fiction? Yes.

Unless J.J. Abrams is actually 15 different, diligent movie and TV producers, the fears that he’s spreading himself a little thin these days seem to be more and more grounded in reality. Beyond the upcoming Star Trek and Star Wars, he’s got a gaggle of TV shows he’s producing, which may have grown by one over the weekend, as he’s looking at Stephen King’s time-traveling saga 11/22/63 to adapt into a mini-series or TV show.

The premise of a school teacher traveling back to the 1960′s to stop the assassination of JFK seems to be right up Abrams’ alley with both the time traveling and the elements of 1960′s culture.

This announcement should keep Abrams’ attention until next week, when he will get behind a gritty reboot of Mario Bros. or something.

That's why you never improve property you don't own. A cold lesson here, folks.

Can it really be a “dream home” home if it’s only 500 SF? Sure. Whatever.

Tony Alleyne LITERALLY (ok, figuratively) had his heart ripped out of his chest upon learning that the apartment he had spent ten years transforming into Star Trek’s USS Voyager was going to be sold by his <del>bitch</del> ex-wife. Just kidding about the “<del>bitch</del>” thing. It turns out that they split in 1994, and since then she has maintained ownership of the flat while he lived there. Now, a brief 18 years later, their finalizing their divorce, and she wants to sell the place, putting Mr. Alleyne out one nerd-tastic residence.

The improvements cost him roughly $150,000, which probably could have gone to buying his own place, but perhaps he was under the impression that the place wouldn’t be sold.

If anyone has an extra room or place of equal or greater nerdiness, please keep this guy in mind before you just take in some weirdo from Craigslist.

Tom Cruise is missing out on a very obvious and lucrative opportunity here.

It’s not hard to understand the logic of celebrity cruises. Fans want to spend time around their favorite stars, stars want to be around their fans (at least the ones that choose these cruises do), and the fans also can share the ship with like-minded individuals. It’s win-win.

Unless that person on the cruise happens to be Kate Gosselin. Yup, for the demented individual that likes sun and the open see, but hates those things when Kate Gosselin isn’t around to share it, there’s now a week-long excursion that embarks in August. That’s just enough time for you to get pregnant so you’ll have something to talk to her about… cause it would be awkward if you weren’t pregnant, cause then you’d have to talk about that bastard Jon.

The caliber of celebrity that signs up for the whole cruise gig is generally not A-list, for obvious reasons. They also tend to be sort of niche, meaning that their fans are borderline insane. I’m sure 99% of the people on these cruises are innocuous enough, but the prospect of being on a cruise ship full of John Cleese fans, constantly quoting Monty Python, would be enough to toss my ass overboard and try my luck with the sharks and the orcas and the undercurrents and whatnot.

So if you’re looking to get away from the cold for a few days, and are totally weird, consider one of these cruises with your favorite celebrity. And try the shrimp cocktail.

John Cleese

Monty Python’s Cleese joined Silversea in 2008, boarding a cruise ship that travelled from Ft. Lauderdale to San Diego. Yikes. That sounds like a really long cruise. I can only pray for Mr. Cleese’s sake that the ship utilized the Panama canal, and he wasn’t forced to go the Cape of Horn route. That would be taxing on even the most polite Brit.

Alex Trebek

This strikes me as perhaps the best fit. I would think that Jeopardy’s Alex Trebek is incredibly popular with the cruise set. Plus, despite the fact that 90% of these people would probably be retired, I would have an easier time fraternizing with fans of trivia and jeopardy than I do with R. Kelly fans, though I would have an easier time getting drunk with and screaming at R. Kelly fans.

Give and take.

R. Kelly

Hey! Speak of the devil. This cruise was just recently announced. And it’s pretty much the most insane thing I have ever heard of. What the hell happens when you quarantine R. Kelly on a boat with a bunch of drunk, horny R. Kelly fans? While I know it’s probably inaccurate, the scenario that keeps playing in my mind is the first half of Jason Takes Manhattan, only Jason is R. Kelly.

Today in relevant news...

The idea of this feud is much, much funnier than the practical application, but nonetheless, the feud…

On September 15th, William Shatner said in an interview that he thought, “Star Wars is derivative by, what? 10, 15, 20 years?” A damning indictment from a man who urges us to name our own fares on air travel and lodging.

Carrie Fisher, who apparently has some time on her hands, has fired back with:

“It’s obvious isn’t it? My friend Abe Gurko and I discuss his ridiculous video. Bill Shatner doesn’t know what he’s talking about but given that he’s 80; is it any surprise? Join me in answering Bill’s rant and don’t forget… he likes to be called Han Solo.”

I have no idea what any of that means. What’s an Abe Gurko?

At this point, Shatner has taken to addressing Carrie directly in YouTube videos. It’s understandable if you’re losing interest in this whole exchange by now.

Of course, like everything else these two engage in, there’s a lot of self-awareness in this playful back and forth. It may not be important at all, but there’s an unspoken law when you start publishing on the Internet: if there’s a Shatner story, you have to publish. Laws are laws.

Leonard Nimoy: a.k.a. The "Straight" Spock...

Funny. After watching that amazing Saturday Night Live sketch about a billion times, we figured Big Shat would be the first one off the Star Trek gravy train. Nope. It’s Nimoy. Consider us shocked.

Nimoy and Shat cut a sharp contrast. While Shat was known for scenery chewing, over-the-top acting and overall histrionics, Nimoy turned out more subtle, cerebral performances. It’s almost like no one told him he was on a show dedicated to Shatner smirking and boning down with green-skinned babes throughout the galaxy.

But even if they had, Nimoy, being the consummate professional that he is probably wouldn’t have cared. Compare his resume to Shat’s. Both have the requisite Western credits that basically all actors of their generation had. Nimoy, however, also has the original Mission: Impossible series to his credit, as well as Galvatron in Transformers: The Movie (no, not the one with all the sparkly explosions) and a host of boss video game voice acting credits. He also directed what is arguably the best Star Trek film, The Voyage Home. You know… the one with the whales.

In contrast, Shatner’s resume is just one shit shingle after another. It’s not that films like Incubus, Big Bad Mama and Kingdom of the Spiders aren’t fun or anything. They’re just totally stupid. And hey, there’s a place for that and everything, but it’s not quite worthy of the same type of praise turning in a killer performance even when you know people are just going to remember you as “the guy with the pointy ears” no matter what. Did we mention Shat also wrote and directed Star Trek V: The Final Frontier? Does any more really need to be said about this? Yes: T.J. Hooker and Boston Legal. As if that weren’t enough, let us remind you of the one word that brings terror into the hearts of men who spent too much time watching basic cable on weekends: TekWar.

Curiously, Nimoy was the sex symbol, not Shatner. Remember, this was the 1960s, when men who reminded women of their dad or a cop were out — way out. On the other hand, men who remind you of some kind of mod space alien were in — way in. Nimoymania reached its peak when he appeared on the variety show Malibu U singing “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” while surrounded by a number of saucy young ladies in psychedelic dresses. This is pretty much the only thing anyone remembers about the show to this day.

And so, convention goers can now stand in line for hours to get an up-close-and-personal glimpse of Big Shat’s rug. But they can’t stand in line to shake the hand of the dark, brooding Nimoy. We never wished we’d gone to a Star Trek convention until now and hell, we still don’t wish we had, but getting a few minutes alone to shoot the shit with the man who is and is not Spock sounds like a hell of a way to spend the afternoon.

It would actually be more mysterious if he did a project that wasn't shrouded in secrecy.

Not a lot is known about the project that will team J.J. Abrams and in-demand screenwriter Billy Ray, but the announcement alone should represent the green flag for everyone to start speculating about it…RIGHT NOW!

According to those old so-and-so’s at Deadline, the project will be a mystery adventure and both Abrams and Ray worked on the pitch together. One couldn’t expect it to be undertaken too soon, with Ray working on the script for Pan (which should be nearing completion), the 24 film, which seems to have gotten some traction as of today, and The Secret in Their Eyes, which he will also be directing.

Outside of his perennial producing duties, Abrams’ schedule appears more open, beholden only to directing the Star Trek sequel.

There is some speculation that this project could be the Cloverfield sequel or prequel, but I find it unlikely that Ray would bring his considerable talents the Abrams’ brainchild, rather than a new concept altogether. Perhaps it’s a Baby Geniuses reimagining, where the babies are grittier… and darker.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Stupid Light! You're not so fast after all!

Scientists have discovered new information that makes Albert Einstein look like a real asshole. His theory of relativity introduced the rule that nothing can trave faster than the speed of light, and that belief has long been held as a pillar of psychics. However, European scientists report that they’ve clocked a neutrino traveling faster than 186,282 miles per second. Way to go, Einstein.

The scientists have checked and rechecked their experiment to make sure nothing had gone wrong, but so far everything seems to have been in order. Now other members of the scientific community are testing their findings. If this is true, perhaps someday we’ll all have some sweet spaceships like the ones on this list.

Max – Flight of the Navigator

Max is likely to be the sketchiest ship on this list. First of all, it’s voiced be Paul Reubens. That may not seem so bad, but you should also keep in mind that the ship traveled 560 light years to abduct a young boy and take him for a joy ride through outer space. Also, it’s unmarked.

Th Battlestar Galactica – Battlestar Galactica

Though a bit of a clunker, the Galactica is capable of light-speed travel. However, there are drawbacks. For instance, when escorting refugees, she must limit her speed to that of the fleet’s slowest ship. And for a short while, all jumps to light-speed were done so blind, meaning that the crew could not predict where they would arrive after their jumps. It’s like getting hammered and falling asleep in a taxi.

Weirdos’ Ship – Muppets From Space

Not only is this ship capable of traveling faster than the speed of light, but its inhabitants can also communicate via bowls of cereals and sandwiches. Never saw Spock pull anything like that off.

These space ladies should have the right to compete too.

There have been allegations that the 2011 Miss Universe Contest is racist. Though that’s a pretty heavy accusation, we here at Screen Junkies have to agree. They are absolutely racist. This is MISS UNIVERSE after all. Open it up to some alien hotties, for shit’s sake.

Here are our selections of hot non-Earth girls who deserve a shot at the crown.

Seven Of Nine – Star Trek: Voyager

ALIEN CREDENTIAL: As a member of a psuedo-race of cybernetic organisms, there was a time that hot Borg Seven of Nine would assimilate all in her path.

STRENGTHS: After being cleaved from the hive mind, Seven of Nine had to learn how to think for herself, as an individual, which gives her an edge in a beauty pageant. This must have boosted her confidence significantly. Don’t expect her to back down easy.

Sil – Species

ALIEN CREDENTIAL: Sil was created when a team of scientists received an alien transmission with instructions for splicing alien DNA with our own. Her mission is to find a mate and reproduce as quickly as possible.

STRENGTHS: Well, she’s obviously stunning and DTF which are fantastic talents to have when competing in beauty competitions. Though, she is a little immature, and that could hurt her in the poise competition.

Three Boobs – Total Recall

ALIEN CREDENTIAL: She has three boobs.

Style is a small price to pay for the ability to watch 'Torchwood' on your watch.

Cinephiles and tech-heads have been known to go to great measures to own the latest, cutting edge items. Whether they wait in long lines or shell out top dollar, there are some items that are essential to their enjoyment of home entertainment or their movie-going experience. But do they really need all this stuff? Especially considering that 11 times out of 10, these gadgets make people look like huge geeks.

Stainless Steel Video Watch

There’s only one person who can pull this off, and his name is Dick Tracy. However, Dick Tracy’s watch is infinitely cooler because of its Skype capabilities. This dorky little doodad boasts 8GB of internal flash memory as well as a full color 1.8″ screen and is made completely from shiny stainless steel for the ultimate in <s>style and coolness</s> not rusting when you cry your nerd tears upon it. Honestly, you can wait until you get in front of a television to watch the latest episode of Alphas.

Sony 3D Head Mounted Display

Are you frustrated that your movie-viewing experience doesn’t make you look Lawnmower Man-y enough? You can breathe a sigh of relief because the future of home entertainment is here. The Sony 3D Head Mounted Display uses twin HD OLED displays as well as 5.1 surround sound for an entirely immersed viewing experience, and utilizes a sleek, space age design to make you look like an absolute dinkus.

Darth Vader Bread Imprinting Toaster

Of course, there also needs to be a gadget that makes you look geeky while enjoying a snack at the movies. The Darth Vader Bread Imprinting Toaster is exactly what it sounds like, a toaster that imprints the image of Darth Vader on your tuna melts. Not only is this really, really nerdy but it’s also an obvious sign that there are no lengths to which George Lucas won’t go in order to make money. Go ahead and buy one now but be forewarned, about two years from now another will be released that creates toast of a much crispier quality.

Today marks the 45th anniversary of the original Star Trek series. Although it was canceled after three seasons, Gene Roddenberry’s creation went on to spawn four more series and 11 feature-length films (so far). And what better way to celebrate the science-fiction phenomenon that is Star Trek than by objectifying women for our own perverse amusement. In honor of Star Trek’s 45th anniversary, here are 45 pictures of sexy girls in Star Trek outfits.
Keep these in mind before entering the San Diego Convention Center on July 21.

Those of you who will be attending Comic-Con for the first time are probably expecting a glorious event the likes of which you have never seen before. What you’re not expecting is to stand in an overcrowded hall, waiting for hours to get a look at the guy who played Porkins in Star Wars. Sadly, the second scenario is a real possibility.

Don’t get me wrong, Comic-Con is a great event. It’s basically the Mecca for all things dork related. That said, at the end of the day, it’s still a convention, and like all conventions, there’s a lot of B.S. to deal with. However, a little preparation will go along way to making your Comic-Con experience an enjoyable one. Following these simple tips will ensure you don’t have the “worst Comic-Con ever.”

Read the Schedule/Plan Ahead

There’s a reason we’ve been posting the schedule for each day’s events. With so much to see and do, it’s essential for you to prioritize and plan ahead. Unfortunately, you’re not going to see everything. There’s simply too much going on, and events often conflict. Sure, getting your picture with Elvira: Mistress of the Dark would be kind of neat, but is she worth missing out on the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Do your homework, and keep in mind that popular events fill up fast. It pays to be early.

Bring Snacks

You know that panel that you’re really dying to see? Well guess what; everyone else is dying to see it, too. This means you’ll be waiting in line for a very, very long time. Lunch? Forget about it. Yeah, you might be able to send your friend to buy some overpriced concession-stand slop, but you run the risk of losing his spot in line, or pissing off the people behind you. Your best bet is to bring your own grub: protein bars, bananas, or anything you can eat without making a mess. It will tide you over, and go a long way toward keeping you sane while you wait.

Bring Sunscreen

Many convention centers are completely contained within one building or connected by covered walkways. This makes sense in Chicago, where temperatures are unbearable for at least six months out of the year. But in sunny San Diego, this isn’t the case, and you may find yourself waiting in a line that is outdoors. If you’re prone to sunburn, it makes sense to bring some sunblock, or at the very least, a hat. Unless of course you’d like to be mistaken for Red Skull, in which case you can disregard this tip.

Chose a Costume Wisely

<a href="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/uncomfortable-cosplay.jpg”>

So, you’re going to try your hand at cosplay. I salute you (especially if you’re a young, attractive female). But keep in mind that while dressing up like a member of the Incredibles might look great, it might also be incredibly uncomfortable. Superheroes are able to pull off tights and battle armor for long periods of time, but are you prepared to go the whole day dressed as a marine from StarCraft? And even if you bring a change of clothes, are you prepared to lug your discarded costume around for the rest of the day? Obviously we’re all for cosplay, so by all means, go for it. All we’re saying is that a little preparation goes a long way. Have a plan in place, and you can avoid a lot of headaches.

Bring Extra Batteries

When attending an event of this scope, there’s literally something to photograph or tweet about around every corner. How long does your cellphone battery last? The same question applies to your freestanding camera or camcorder. It never hurts to have a backup battery on hand. After all, I’d hate for you to miss out on getting your picture taken with Romulan #3 from episode 27 of Star Trek: Voyager.

Consider Using The Stadium Pal

Speaking of long lines, do you really want to risk your spot just because you have to take a leak? Besides, have you ever been in a bathroom that’s been used by Wookiees? Trust me, it’s disgusting. But with the Stadium Pal, you can relieve yourself while you wait in line, and those around you will be oblivious. Yes, this all-in-one urine catching apparatus might be a little embarrassing, but with all the crazy cosplay going on, no one is going to be looking at you. Then again, if you can work an adult diaper into your cosplay outfit, maybe the Stadium Pal is unnecessary.

Speaking of cosplay…

Bring Condoms (Because You Never Know)

If the stereotypes are to be believed, your average Comic-Con attendee probably doesn’t have a lot of game when it comes to meeting ladies. Whether that’s true or not is debatable. Regardless, at Comic-Con, anything is possible. If a girl is willing to set foot in this convention of her own free will, chances are she’s into dorky guys. And if she’s walking around dressed as Power Girl or Slave Leia, she obviously needs a lot of male attention. Sure, the ratio of guys to girls will be against you, but who knows? Maybe you’ll be the lucky man who reminds her of the dad she obviously never had. And if that’s the case, the last thing you want is to catch a case of “The Stigma” from some Vulcan hottie. So, make sure your web slinger is wearing his mask.

A fun way for Comic-Con attendees to pass the time while they wait in endless lines.

Comic-Con 2011 is right around the corner. For those of you lucky enough to attend, a smorgasbord of pure dorky goodness awaits. The only problem is the fact that you’ll be forced to wait in line after line in order to see your favorite panelists. How on earth will you occupy your time?

Don’t worry, Screen Junkies is here to help. Below you will find a BINGO card labeled with the sights you’re sure to encounter at this year’s event. Print it out, and cross off the items as you spot them. First one to make a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line wins (none of that four corner B.S., please). Enjoy.

In this trailer for The Captains, Shatner tracks down and interviews Star Trek‘s various Captains. But more importantly, he also finds occasion to sit in a cardboard box like some kind of well-dressed hobo.

While interviewing his Starfleet Command peers, Shatner also recalls his own experiences with playing the role. The actors interviewed are Patrick Stewart, Chris Pine, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks, and, okay, I guess throw Scott Bakula in there too. Here’s hoping the sequel will see Shatner chasing after the sexy ladies of Star Trek. It can’t be hard to find that footage.

Nerd! Nerd! Nerd!

What makes a nerd movie? Is it the presence of nerdy characters in the film, or is it the presence of subject matter that appeals to the nerds themselves? For the purposes of this list, I deferred to the latter, choosing films nerds enjoy rather than films that depict them. With one notable exception, you won’t see movies like Napoleon Dynamite and Real Genius on this list.

Trying to narrow a list of hundreds of films down to only 11 was ridiculously difficult, and I’m sure there are many deserving films I left off. But please keep in mind that my choices are legally binding, and no amount of bitching in the comment section will alter the fact that this is now the definitive list on the subject, and will be until the end of time. With that in mind, let’s take a look.

Revenge of the Nerds

OK, right off the bat, I broke my rule. These are supposed to be films that appeal to nerds, not films about them.

That said, this movie probably did more to raise the status of nerds than any other film. It’s a classic, and it still gets laughs nearly twenty years on. Aside from the nerdy characters, the film’s plot really isn’t that nerdy. It’s more along the lines of Porky’s or Caddyshack than any of the films on this list. However, the scene where one lucky nerd dressed as Darth Vader nails a frat boy’s hot girlfriend more than makes up for it.

The Original Star Wars Trilogy

There’s no question that original The Star Wars Trilogy is beloved by nerds the world over. But I hesitate to add it to the list. After all, the films have become so popular that it’s hard to even label it in a nerd specific manner. But in the end, any film with laser beams and talking robots can’t escape its true nerdy nature.

Tron

By today’s standards, the special effects in Tron look pretty weak. But back in 1982, they were groundbreaking. Throw in a premise based on video games, and characters with names like “Master Control Program,” and you’ve got a film that only a nerd could love.

Evil Dead II

The Evil Dead Trilogy is widely loved by the nerd community, due in large part to its protagonist, Ash Williams. And what’s not to like about a guy who works at the equivalent of a Walmart and ends up fighting demons with a chainsaw in place of his severed hand. The film was so popular, that it catapulted actor Bruce Campbell into the pantheon of nerd legends.

The Dark Knight

Christopher Nolan has turned the Batman franchise into every nerd’s wet dream. This is even more impressive when considering the sad state of the affairs left in the wake of Joel Schumacher‘s Batman and Robin. The Dark Knight had everything we loved about Batman Begins, and managed to turn up the action without sacrificing the plot or character development. Here’s hoping the third installment lives up to its predecessors.

Pi

Pi is about a paranoid mathematician who is more comfortable sitting in front of his computer than he is interacting with people in the outside world. That alone gets it a spot on this list. Throw in the fact that he’s discovered a complex string of numbers representing the name of God which is also useful for making stock picks, and you’ve got yourself some real nerd street cred. The gritty, documentary-style cinematography doesn’t hurt, either.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

When it comes to comedy films, they don’t get much nerdier than Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The medieval-fantasy setting certainly helps matters, but what really pushes this film over the top is its bizarre, off-the-wall humor and its highly quotable nature. After all, if there’s one thing nerds love, it’s memorization, which explains why they’ve been memorizing and repeating lines from this film for close to 40 years.

Escape from the Planet of the Apes

Yes, the original Planet of the Apes is a far better film. But I contend that Escape from the Planet of the Apes is far more nerdy. After all, talking, futuristic apes are one thing. Transporting these apes back in time and using them as social commentary on 1970′s racial and gender roles is quite another. Only a hardcore nerd could sit through this nonsense.

The LOTR Trilogy

Rather than single out a specific film, I included the entire LOTR trilogy. Like Star Wars, it was meant to be viewed as one continuous story, and like Star Wars, the series offers everything a nerd could want. From elves to orcs to hobbits, the universe created by J. R. R. Tolkien is littered with the pointless minutia and alternative histories that nerds crave. And with hardly a female character to be seen, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the most popular franchises of all time.

2001

2001 has all of the elements you’d expect from a sci-fi film: space travel, time travel, evolution, robots, etc. However, one crucial element is missing: fun! I don’t intend that as a detriment. It is widely considered one of the greatest films of all time. But that said, it’s more of a thought-provoking tribute to mankind’s scientific advancements than it is entertaining, which is why it is appreciated more by nerds than your average moviegoer.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Let’s face it; when it comes to nerd films, Star Wars is for pussies. After all, science fantasy is bush league. Science fiction is the real deal, which is why Star Trek is and always will be the franchise of choice for hardcore nerds. I chose the first film for one simple reason: it sucks. Honestly, it is not good. Those long, drawn out scenes of the Enterprise floating in space are completely unnecessary, not to mention a blatant ripoff of 2001′s style. And the cheesy tie into the Voyager space probe was laughable at best. But despite all the flaws, nerds rallied around the film, and it sparked one of the most storied sci-fi film franchises in history. Well done.

Director Steven Spielberg is trying his hand at television (again) with an adaptation of the popular graphic novel series, "Locke & Key." Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Josh Friedman are all on board for the project which is still searching for a network.
First released in 2008, Locke & Key revolves around three kids who end up watching over a secret, spooky New England mansion filled with mystical doors that transport them to different worlds and give them special powers (like turning into a ghost).
The source material was created by Joe Hill, the son of author Stephen King. Fans of "Quantum Leap" will remember that it was actually Dr. Sam Beckett who was responsible for inspiring most of King's major works. Considering that Hill was probably heavily influenced by his father, I think it's safe to add "Locke & Key" to Dr. Beckett's long list of time traveling accomplishments, right along side saving Jackie Kennedy and inventing the Heimlich Maneuver.
Godspeed, Dr. Beckett, wherever you are. (Vulture via Movie Line)

The iconic Captain Pike.
Experts claimed that there would never ever be another Star Trek film. Despite their assurances, director J.J. Abrams is scheduled to begin shooting a sequel in January, according to actor Bruce Greenwood. As you'll remember, Greenwood played everyone's favorite Enterprise Captain, Christopher Pike.
"I just know that the plan is to film it in January, more than that, I don't know," Greenwood said, adding that he hoped to have a role in the movie.
While there is no word on the script, I'm hoping it involves time travel. I just think it's really neat, and it's only been used as a major plot point in about a third of all the Star Trek films, so it's still fresh. (Coming Soon)
