Lee broke free of the 140 character limit by posting the following across several tweets. “It’s been an exciting week for me, but I got a phone call last night that really flipped me out! I’m bustin’ to tell you about it—My pal Avi Arad,  producer of the new Spider-Man movie, called to tell me how excited he is about the film. Then came the surprise—Avi told me my cameo is all set for Spidey 4, and when he described it, I realized it’s the best, most unusual one yet! I wish I could tell you what my cameo is, but that would kill the surprise. But I’ll tell you this much—I’m finally in an action scene!”

Everyone was reasonably up in arms and skeptical when the new Spider-Man film was announced. But it’s nice to know that “hey, who’s that creepy extra” is an element of consistency they plan to keep. (Stan Lee’s Twitter)

Morgan Spurlock and Harry Knowles may not see eye to eye on the subject of McDonald’s, but they’re willing to put that difference aside. The Ain’t It Cool News founder and comics legend Stan Lee will join Spurlock and Joss Whedon in producing their San Diego Comic-Con documentary. The doc, newly titled Comic-Con Episode Four: A Fan’s Hope, will begin following seven fans in June as they prepare for this year’s convention.

I’ve only been to the crappy New York version of Comic-Con and am looking forward to see how the film capture the spirit in San Diego. And with the Four Horsemen of Geekdom (Acne, Asthma, Cheeto Fingers, and Dumb Laugh) behind the lens, it’s sure to take us where no film ever cared to go before. (THR)
