We have picture proof, tweeted by Sofia Vergara herself, that the beautiful Colombian actress is being mistaken for a punching bag on the set of the Three Stooges movie. These horrific shots show in great detail the abuse Vergara is undergoing for the sake of slapstick comedy. One would assume the Stooges are slapping and eye-poking much harder now than they did in the old days. Learn how to pull your punches, Larry, Moe, and Curly. The world isn’t done ogling Sofia yet.

I’m just playin’, y’all! The above set pics provided by On Location Vacations were taken during the filming of a car crash scene. The ones that Sofia herself tweeted are supposedly a result of the same scene, but I also know how Moe gets when his hand towels aren’t on the rack straight. Don’t let him intimidate you, girl. There are people who can help if you’re willing to let them.

McConaughey, Maguire, Efron, And Vergara Are All Gonna Get With ‘The Paperboy’

As today’s casting news indicates, Pedro Almodovar can reel in the A-list even as a lowly producer. Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Zac Efron, and Sophia Vergara have all enlisted for The Paperboy, an adaptation of a 1995 novel that follows a Miami reporter who investigates the incarceration of a death row inmate. Lee Daniels will be pulling director duty on this one.

Alomodovar’s capacity as only producer is somewhat surprising, given that he has worked with The Paperboy author Pet Dexter developing this project over the past decade. However, the project seems to be left in capable hands with Daniels, who has Precious and the upcoming Selma to his name.

The roles corresponding to the A-list actors have not been disclosed, but I think that McConaughey would make a good journalist, Tobey Maguire is a very convincing sex offender, Zac Efron would make a remarkable murder victim, and Sophia Vergara could be either a sultry Latina stripper or a down-on-her-luck, nude adult film actress.

In case it’s not clear, I’m not terribly familiar with the source material. (THR)

Sofia Vergara is in talks to join The Three Stooges alongside Will Sasso, and Sean Hayes. Considering how random the casting of the leads has been thus far, it’s no surprise that they decided that a Latina beauty is a logical next step in the adaptation of a half-century old TV show.

Vergara, best known for her scene-stealing character in”Modern Family,” would have to really outdo herself to steal scenes in a “Three Stooges” film, but considering how well she milks her accent and milks her….”looks,” I wouldn’t put it past her.

The Farrelly Bros. have done a good job of keeping their casting interesting, so with so many pieces in place, it is now up to them to bring it all together. Something they haven’t excelled at in recent projects. Like, everything since Something About Mary. (Variety)
