The winners often dictate who will walk away with the Academy’s gold so, the results of last night’s 2012 SAG Awards may prove to shake up the Oscars race. The biggest news this year isn’t who won, but who didn’t. Critical darling and Oscars odds-on favorite The Artist walked away with nary an award. Jean Dujardin nabbed Best Actor, but beyond that the film didn’t score. That’s what you get when you don’t memorize your lines.

On TV, the big winners, as always, were Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family. Though individual awards did go to Alec Baldwin, Jessica Lange, and Betty White. Sofia Vergara won along with the rest of her co-stars for thier work as an ensemble on Modern Family. Perhaps she’ll be back next year for The Three Stooges.

If past history is going to predict the future then we would bet we’ll start seeing a few more plus-sized models following in the footsteps of previous models-turned-actress types.  Self-proclaimed double-threats of the recent past have had mixed results in Hollywood, with names like Rebecca Romijn, Sofia Vergara, Milla Jovovich and Cameron Diaz coming to mind.  That given, here are a few we think you should keep on your radar:

Candice Huffine

Huffine—38-33-43—is a Ford Model who recently made the cover of Vogue Italia’s June issue, in a bacchanalian photo spread shot by Steven Meisel.  The camera clearly loves this buxom Maryland beauty—could she be another Sophia Loren?

Tara Lynn

Another one from Ford, Tara Lynn is no slouch in the beauty or brains department—graduating with a degree in languages, she speaks fluent French and Arabic and also a little Spanish. Part of the Italian Vogue trinity, Lynn’s on her way to becoming a household name.

Lizzie Miller

Lizzie Miller shot to fame after posing nude in a Glamour Magazine spread that showed her all too familiar to most women pooch of a tummy. This California girl already has her sight set beyond the plus-sized modeling revolution, touting herself as a singer and an actress. We think it’s only a matter of time before she makes her move towards the big the screen.

Crystal Renn

Author of Hungry, her memoir of going from an anorexic to plus-sized model, we think Renn may be the first plus-sized model to crossover into film. Already crowned as queen of the curvy in the fashion world—most, if not all of her fellow plus-sizers on this list call her their role model—Renn is the most successful size 12 model in America. There’s no way that magazines alone will be able to contain this bombshell.

Robyn Lawley

Following in the footsteps of models like Renn, Aussie native Robyn Lawley is ready to take the world by storm. Aside from gracing the covers of French Elle and Italian Vogue, Lawley is also a die-hard music fanatic working on her DJ skills and a closet movie nerd, quoting Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings among her favorites. Though she has denied that acting is in her future, the fact she counts her Exorcist and Gollum impressions as talents to brag about indict otherwise.


Plus Size Model Falls Off Runway - Watch more Funny Videos

The movie stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, and Sofía Vergara, and is an update of the popular/scorned children’s TV show. I don’t know what else to say about this trailer. Take your kids, I’m sure they’ll be into it.

Craig Bierko has TV credits (of course), but he’s best known for roles in Cinderella Man and Scary Movie 4. He’ll play a villain named Mac in Three Stooges. Will this movie be a cinematic masterpiece on the level of Scary Movie 4? I’ll let the Academy Award voters decide.

Meanwhile, the producers have no “Moe” problems, now that Chris Diamantopoulos has been confirmed for the role of Moe. See what I did there? Cause I don’t. (Deadline)

Stacy Edwards as Evan’s Mom – Superbad (2007)

Evan’s mom isn’t on screen for very long, but the character serves two important functions. First of all, she allows the audience to see what a pervert Seth is. Second, she allows us to see her cleavage.

Jane Seymour as Kathleen Cleary – Wedding Crashers (2005)

Jane Seymour is best known as Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman. At least she was, until she played a horney, psychotic MILF in Wedding Crashers. I have to say, the second role was a vast improvement.

Mary Tyler Moore as Laura Petrie – “The Dick Van Dyke Show” (1961)

People remember Mary Tyler Moore for her own show. But sometimes, people forget she started out with Dick Van Dyke. They also forget that she was one hot mom, back in the day. By back in the day, I mean a simpler time, when randomly breaking out into a song about Cleopatra during a house party was socially acceptable.

Emilie de Ravin as Claire Littleton – “Lost” (2004)

How hot was the character of Claire Littleton on “Lost?” Let’s just say that even at nine months pregnant, she still looked better than any woman you’ll ever sleep with. Or men, for that matter.

Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis – “Desperate Housewives” (2004)

The only thing desperate about this house wife was my plan to win over the actress who plays her (Eva Longoria) by slowly and methodically killing her house pets. For the record, it didn’t work. But in the greater scheme of things, it didn’t really hurt, either.

Lea Thompson as Lorraine Baines McFly – Back to the Future (1985)

With the possible exception of the Virgin Mary, every mother on earth has banged a dude at least once. We’d all like to believe that in the case of our own mothers, it was a one-time occurrence. But Lorraine Baines McFly from Back to the Future makes us face up to the face that at some point, all of our moms were probably filthy sex-crazed skanks.

Angelina Jolie as Grendel’s Mother – Beowulf (2007)

Angelina Jolie would probably rank higher on this list if Grendel’s Mother’s wasn’t a monster spawnin devil woman. But she is, so let’s leave it at that.

I high school, what would have been better than banging your enemy’s mom? Well, for me, banging anyone would have been fine. However Paul Finch from “American Pie” was able to live the enemy’s mom banging fantasy, thanks to the help of Stifler’s mom.

Florence Henderson as Carol Brady – “The Brady Bunch” (1969)

Admit it! You know you wanted to bone Mrs. Brady! After all, who didn’t? Well, the guy who played Mr. Brady, for starters. But I digress.

Connie Sumner is the perfect mom, except for the fact that she bangs dirty foreigners she meets in the street. But other than that, she’s cool.

Ellen Griswold has a rack that won’t quit. I don’t even know what that means, but I’ve always wanted to type it. Anyway, how she ended up with a clod like Clark is beyond me. Good for Sparky.

Amy Stock-Poynton as Missy Preston – Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure

As Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure taught us, if your dad is going to remarry, hopefully it’s with an ugly woman close to his age. Otherwise, you’re bound to have some confusing feelings.

Jaime Pressly as Joy Turner – “My Name Is Earl” (2005)

Joy Turner is suppose to be pure-white trash. Obviously the writers of this show didn’t have a clue. If they had been going for realism, they would have given her meth-stained teeth and stretch marks. Then again, unlike Jaime Pressly’s hot body, realism is overrated.

Maria Bello as Edie Stall – A History of Violence

The cheerleader scene in A History of Violence is one of the hottest in film history. It’s far superior to the stair-way pseudo-rape scene that occurs later in the film, unless of course you’re into that sort of thing, which, as you can see from my numerous acquittals I am not.

Halle Berry as Leticia Musgrove – Monster’s Ball

Halle Berry plays a mom in this film. At least that’s what it said in Wikipedia when I looked it up. All I remember is that bastard Billy Bob Thornton humping away on her like she was the couch in my mom’s basement. I’m sorry we couldn’t show you the video, but I did find this clip on YouTube that actually shows breasts, which is like winning the lottery. Enjoy.

January Jones as Betty Draper -”Mad Men” (2007)

“Mad Men‘s” Betty Draper makes me long for the 1950′s, a simpler time when TV’s were shitty and didn’t feature a constant HD barrage of hot actresses like January Jones paraded in front of your face making your girlfriend look obese.

Natalie Portman as Padmé – Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

Technically, Padmé isn’t a MILF when she shows some skin in AOTC. But if you’re really going to quibble that point, there’s a reason you’re still a virgin, ya nerf herder.

Julie Benz as Rita Bennett -”Dexter” (2006)

As the clip above demonstrates, Rita Bennett was one sexy mom. I used to fantasize about taking a bath with her. Unfortunately, that fantasy was ruined in the forth season.

Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin -”Weeds” (2005)

Not only is Nancy Botwin hot, but she’ll also get you high. If there was ever a reason to date a woman with kids, that’s the one.

Anne Bancroft as Mrs. Robinson – The Graduate (1967)

Mrs. Robinson from the graduate is the Mother of all movie MILF’s. In fact, she’s so legendary, somebody should really write a song about her.

Sofia Vergara as Gloria Pritchett -”Modern Family” (2009)

Sofia Vergara is on a relatively new show, so I can see why some would argue that “Gloria Pritchett” doesn’t belong in the number one spot. Even so, look at her cleavage. It’s timeless.

The episode starts off with the Dunphy clan preparing gifts for Mom’s big day. But excitement turns to confusion when Claire comes in wearing an old tee-shirt with hand marks on her breasts. Apparently, it was a Mother’s Day gift from when the kids were younger, but Haley thinks the shirt makes it look like her mother was sexually assaulted by a creepy neighbor with small hands.

While the Dunphy’s are busy with their gifts, Cameron and Mitchell are having a celebration of their own, as Mitch prepares breakfast in bed for his husband. However, after realizing it is Mother’s Day, Cameron rejects the gift, insulted by the fact that he is viewed as the wife and mother in the relationship.

Meanwhile, Phil and Jay are cooking a Mother’s Day meal while the women and children are off on a hike. The children are completely bored by the hike, while back at the house, Jay does his best not to be annoyed by Phil’s constant assholery (dancing and singing, impersonating Julia Child, wearing “onion glasses” to avoid tears, etc.).

During the meal prep, Phil finds a “recipe for a perfect mom” that Jay wrote as a gift for his own mother as a boy. It triggers a flood of memories for Jay, and he begins to tear up. When Phil comments on it, Jay quickly puts on the onion glasses and pretends nothing is wrong.

At the canyon, the children’s constant complaining has forced the mothers to leave them behind in the hope of teaching them a lesson. On the other hand, Cameron and Mitchell are doing their best to patch things up while attending a Mother’s Day barbecue with Lily. However, Cameron’s insecurities are brought back into the open when the other partygoers force him to be in the Mom’s photograph, proving that it’s not only Mitchell who views him as “the woman” in the relationship.

At the Canyon, Gloria and Claire, now sans children, are discussing the selfishness of their offspring. Claire admits that sometimes she would like nothing more than to hit her children, a revelation that causes Gloria to recoil in disgust. However, after further coaxing from Claire, Gloria admits that sometimes Manny doe drive her crazy, and she wishes that he would act more like other boys his age (going outside, throwing a ball, stealing) rather than writing poetry and following her around the house. Surprise, surprise: Manny is standing right behind her and hears the whole confession.

Back in the kitchen, Phil tries to comfort Jay with a hug. Jay wants nothing to do with it, and Phil is forced to wonder, as he does in every damn episode, why Jay can’t show his emotions.

Still reeling from the photo incident, Cameron is being extremely touchy about the issue of his masculinity. So when a group of children at the park ask him to throw their ball back to them, he takes the simple request as an insult. Determined to prove himself as a man, he heaves the ball as far as he can, hitting a random elderly biker in the process.

Back at the canyon, Gloria manages to make up with Manny, telling him that she was lying in order to make Claire feel better about her parenting issues. Claire doesn’t buy it, but lets it go, attempting to make up with her own kids. However, the Dunphy children have formed a pact, and are refusing to apologize. Once back at the house, Cameron begins drinking scotch to help drown his sorrows. Mitchell comes over to cheer him up by showing him a mother’s day card. This does nothing to help, and Cameron rips it to shreds.

After informing his angry husband that Manny gave that card to Gloria, Mitchell explains that the best qualities of a mother (warmth, kindness, etc.) are all traits that Cameron has in spades, and he shouldn’t be insulted by the comparison. Cameron is relieved about the entire situation, especially since it means he can stop drinking scotch, which burns his throat. During the family meal, Jay is once again brought to tears by the thought of his mother. The outburst of emotion causes the Dunphy children to break down and apologize to their mother, and everyone at the table aside from Manny and Mitchell take part in a group hug. Manny offers to hug Mitchell, but he callously declines.

As the night winds down, the Dunphy children fall asleep beside their mom on the couch. Phil attempts to capture the touching moment with a photo, but is chastised by his ungrateful family when the flash wakes them up. I assume that the next few episodes will involve Phil abandoning his family and in order to kill Jay and have sex with Gloria, but only time will tell.

So, what did you think about last night’s episode? Personally, I thought it was a little too sappy, but then again, maybe I’m just upset that Jay didn’t use the Al Bundy crying face when he had his break down.

Apparently, Heigl just adopted some poor kid and was looking for a project that wouldn’t require a huge time commitment. New Year’s Eve fits the bill, since as a follow up to Garry Marshall’s surprise hit Valentine’s Day it’s a big ensemble piece. Just a couple pinches of Heigl, as opposed to a whole dish. Dunno why I went with a food metaphor but whatever. New Year’s Eve will also star (deep breath) Robert De Niro, Sofia Vergara, Russell Peters, Hilary Swank, Ice Cube, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Josh Duhamel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Abigail Breslin, Seth Meyers, Jessica Biel and Til Schweiger. Gary Marshall is throwing a bone to the beleaguered boyfriends who will be dragged to see New Year’s Eve. Jessica Biel will be returning for the follow-up non-sequel but won’t be reprising her Valentine’s Day role. That means the movies take place in a magical world where Jessica Biel has a twin, and good things happen to gorgeous people but only around major holidays.

Speaking of twins, Sofia Vergara has also joined the cast. There aren’t any specifics on which role she will play but let’s hope it involves a trampoline. If so, is it wrong if I go see it without my girlfriend? (THR)

Sofia Vergara let the Freudian slips fly on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night. Actually, it all started earlier in the day when Sofia tweeted that she was excited to "do Kimmel" that night. Except she meant "do" as in appear on, not "do" as in bang.

In trying to defend herself on the show, she kept accidentally rambling on and on about sex. Sex, sex, sex, sex. Does the woman think of nothing else? Before we know it she’s going to convince Christina Hendricks that they should do a topless photoshoot together. It sickens me! **Mother pulls ear away from bedroom door.
