Some of you butt, boob and leg guys out there might switch to the under appreciated back after seeing this poster below. That is one nice looking backside, and I mean that literally. But I digress.

Written and directed by Julia Leigh, Sleeping Beauty stars Emily Browning as a prostitute who takes sleeping pills right before a night’s work, so she can be completely submissive to the dudes she boinks for cash. The movie’s trailer is sexy, the poster is sexy – hell, I feel sexier just looking at these previews. The cast also includes Rachael Blake, Michael Dorman, and Mirrah Foulkes.

Sexy fairy tales are back in a big way, probably thanks to all the invisible sexy fairies flying around. You didn’t know about the sexy fairies? Look it up, man. They’re everywhere. Anyway, this is an update of the classic tale Sleeping Beauty starring Emily Browning. The trailer makes it out to be a pretty dark modern retelling of the story, as does the official synopsis:

“’You will go to sleep: you will wake up. It will be as if those hours never existed.’ Death-haunted, quietly reckless, Lucy is a young university student who takes a job as a Sleeping Beauty. In the Sleeping Beauty Chamber old men seek an erotic experience that requires Lucy’s absolute submission. This unsettling task starts to bleed into Lucy’s daily life and she develops an increasing need to know what happens to her when she is asleep.”

Whoa, the trailer doesn’t really go into all those creepy details. I wonder if there really are such things as Sleeping Beauties. I’m asking for a friend.

Of Course There’s Another ‘Sleeping Beauty’ In The Works

If Snow White and the Huntsman, Th Brothers Grimm: Snow White, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, and Michael Bay’s Hansel & Gretel have taught me anything, it’s that it’s foolish to not milk the teat of half an idea for all its creamy goodness. That’s why it comes as no surprise that deceptively mature-looking True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld is attached to a re-imagining of Sleeping Beauty.

The spec script gives Sleeping Beauty a lot more to do than just lay there like Sammi from”Jersey Shore.” This version is told from Beauty’s point of view as she navigates the dream world searching for a way out. What will set this apart from Maleficent, Tim Burton‘s take on the same classic fairy tale? Or the erotic thriller version starring Emily Browning? This one will have less groping and probably won’t feature Helena Bonham Carter. (Deadline)

Sucker Punch‘s Emily Browning‘s star is on the rise and it looks like she’s not afraid to shed her child star image. She’s just signed on for ~~The Perfect Woman~~ Sleeping Beauty, an erotic thriller about "a student who drifts into prostitution and finds her niche as a woman who sleeps, drugged while men do to her what she can‘t remember the next morning." I don’t know about you guys but I’d totally take photos of her where it looks like she’s picking her nose. But I’m an animal like that.

The film is a 2008 Black Listed script from Australian author Julia Leigh, who will be making her directorial debut with this project. Alice in Wonderland‘s Mia Wasikowska was originally set to fill the role but opted out in the 11th hour. Keep that in mind if you ever have a chance to date either of these actresses.
