Actor Shia LaBeouf isn’t known for his meaty character par–, actually, you know what? Maybe there are better ways to introduce this story. Anyway, LaBeouf has finally done what many of his fans (?) have been clamoring for (??): a nude scene. And it wasn’t for Transformers 4, but instead for a music video from Swedish music outfit Sigur Rós.

The song is called “Fjögur piano,” and the video features LaBeouf and an unidentified female doing all kinds of weird artsy stuff together. And nakedness. And piano. The whole thing is very strange and (this probably goes without saying but I’m saying it anyway) NSFW, so by all means wait until you get home to watch it. Or, I dunno, invite your boss in to feast on the visual and aural poetry on display – your call. (The AV Club)

Think you know a lot about 'Transformers'? Well it's time to put up or shut up.

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the latest installment in the Transformers franchise, Dark of the Moon. And with Michael Bay sending demanding letters to projectionists, and Shia LeBeouf bragging about banging Megan Fox, it’s easy to forget the true meaning of the series: Bad-ass robots turning into sweet cars and destroying each other for our amusement.

With that in mind, we’ve created the following quiz. You think you know a lot about the Transformers? Then, take the Screen Junkies Ultimate ‘Transformers’ Quiz and prove it.
Crazy, I know. My monocle popped out when I read that.

Now, the fembot hired to replace Fox, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, is speaking out about her experience posing on car hoods for Bay (the man who is making her a star):

“I think what Shia was saying was that Michael loves women, and I think he films women in a very sensual way… We had great fun. I never feel uncomfortable with Michael. And if I do, I make sure I tell him. He’s always respects it.”

Given Rosie’s background with Victoria’s Secret, she’s pretty cool with letting the girls out. Who knows? Transformers: Dark Of The Moon may finally be our chance to see a hot chick deep throat drive shaft. We’ve all been waiting for it. The sneak peak image below is from the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon, starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Patrick Dempsey. It’s a new, dizzying look at the Decepticon Shockwave, who’s working with Megatron on a crazy new scheme that’s bad news for humans. Y’know, the little fleshy guys that don’t turn into stuff.

In an interview, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently described Shockwave as “a ball of destruction, pulling whole skyscrapers down. He’s a messy guy to have in our world.” I hear he also doesn’t use a spoon when he eats pasta, and sauce gets all over the city. Very messy. Also, he kills a lot of people.

Paramount is apparently giddier than a hobo on Free Soup Day about getting Transformers: Dark of the Moon into theaters. They moved it up two days, from Friday, July 1st to Wednesday, June 29th. Here’s a quote from an anonymous studio “insider,” who may or may not be in league with the Decepticons:

“Early response to footage, especially the 3D footage, has been great so we want to get the word out that this film is as good or better than the first and much better than the last.”

I guess the excitement over that clip with Patrick Dempsey has caused Paramount to relent to the people’s feverish demands to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon as soon as possible. See? Democracy does work. (Deadline)

Various elements have combined to form a poster image for 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'.

Various elements have combined to form the poster image for Transformers: Dark of the Moon below. You’ve got some boring humans, a nonsensical-looking Optimus Prime – is his hand some kind of giant laser wrench? – a few buildings post-explosions, and a two weird looking alien ships.

Put it together and you get… movie. Woo hoo.

Shia LeBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley star as apparently shocked humans in a movie where Autobots continue to fight Decepticons, destroying Earth while doing so. Honestly, I can’t imagine why they’re looking so shocked, since this sort of thing seems to happen quite a bit, at least to LeBeouf. Directed by Michael Bay, who promises to “roll out” of the series after this entry, Transformers: Dark of the Moon destroys Earth theaters on July 1, 2011. I recommend just renting this on Netflix instead, and if you want the IMAX experience, just sit close to the TV. (Vulture)

Bay talks about the craziest action scene he's ever filmed and why he'll never work with Shia again.

Michael Bay seems like he had fun directing Transformers 3 (aka Transformers: Dark Of The Moon). MTV had the chance to chew the fat with Bay and got some pretty good response. Read on to find out how he’s topped himself with this third entry, why he’ll never work with Shia LeBeouf again, and why you shouldn’t talk dirt about his editing.

His thoughts on the series being rebooted after Transformers: Dark Of The Moon:

“It still could be rebooted. Not with Shia. He’s turning grumpy in his old age. He’s like a little brother to me but I told him, ‘I’m never going to work with you when you’re older.’ [Shia said] ‘Why?’ ‘Because you’re just a grump.’ You put him on a wire and he turns into this evil monster. Other actors say, ‘This is really fun,’ he’s just the opposite.”

How he raised the bar to film the craziest stunt he’s ever filmed:

“We did one of the craziest things I’ve ever filmed which is these wingsuit guys [extreme base jumpers]. I’m like, ‘I’m writing a scene for those guys.’ We have this great scene where they fly between the buildings. We had to block off a mile and a half, they made turns around the buildings, very close, but the city [of Chicago] allowed us to do that. Jumping off the Sears Tower flying through the streets. That’s just unheard of.”

And why you should never, EVER criticize his editing:

“You know what, you should do a study on Paul Greengrass movies and mine… I was one of the first way back when to do ‘Bad Boys’ in a fast cutting style. I was one of the first to do the fast cutting style… I didn’t have a lot of money, I had nine million… almost no movies did that fast cut, I got a lot of shit for it. Now you look at action movies today, then you look at Paul Greengrass, they get nominated for an Academy Award for cutting so f—ing fast. My cuts, we should analyze, we should do a math test, take the same length of movie and see who has more cuts. I‘ll have less cuts, I guarantee you. It’s a stigma that sticks with me and it’s not fair.

“I get a little hot under the collar about the editing,” he said with a smile.

Yeah. That moon up in the top right corner is weird, right? If you click on it, it takes you to a preview that reveals the cover art for the band’s Transformers: Dark Of The Moon single, “Iridescent.”

And this is also official confirmation that “Iridescent” will be the film’s title track (somehow?). No idea how the song will be worked into the film. It could appear during an intense chase scene, or in a scene where Shia LeBeouf is at a party, but then the party is ruined because someone decides to play the new Linkin Park single, “Iridescent.” (via SuperHeroHype)

Can a film actually collapse into itself if it features too many heartthrobs? D.J. Caruso is conducting a little experiment to find out. The I Am Number Four director claims that Alex Petyfer, Shia LeBeouf, and Chris Pine have all expressed interest in separate roles in the upcoming adaptation of the Preacher comic series.

Preacher is the story of a man of God who teams up with a vampire to confront the lord himself for his negligence and malice. Of the three aforementioned actors, I really like Alex Petyfer for the starmaking role of “God.” Sadly, it doesn’t sound like that’s going to happen, as Chris Pine is dicussing playing “Jesse,” Shia TheBeef is weighing the role of Arseface(!), and Alex Petyfer, the Saint of Killers.

Caruso has a reputation for speaking candidly about upcoming projects, so while these may be very real considerations, a lot can happen between now and whenever this film starts production. These three are among the busiest and most desired actors in Hollywood, so don’t be surprised if they fall out of discussions to pursue a remake, reboot, sequel or adaptation in the near future. (Playlist)

Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska, and Jason Clarke have all jumped onboard The Wettest County in the World.

Nucky Thompson best watch his back. The bootlegging industry just got a little more cutthroat with Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska, and Jason Clarke all jumping on board The Wettest County in the World, a semi-true story of bootlegging in Virginia during the prohibition era. The foursome will join Shia LeBeouf and Tom Hardy, both of whom had already been announced.

The film follows a familiar “cops and robbers” type premise, with the twist being that the robbers are actually bootleggers. LeBeouf will play a rumrunner and boyfriend of Wasikowska, Pearce will play “an overly violent deputy” (awesome), and Oldman will play a good ole’ fashioned gangster, which is out of character. Surely the gangster has to have a massive disfigurement or talk through a voice box or something. Oldman only plays it straight for Batman these days.

The promise of gangster violence and back-country Appalachia sounds pretty appealing, but this movie may need more. Show me a clip of LeBeouf getting beaten to a pulp while a Scott Joplin ragtime tune plays in the background, and I’m sold. (THR)

Back away slowly, Mark.
Entertainment Tonight visited the set of Transformers: Dark of the Moon in Chicago in the very excited way that ET visits things. Star Shia LeBeouf was either playing along with the amped up enthusiasm, or he's been dipping into the booger sugar between takes. I realize he's a passionate guy and all, but something feels a little...twitchy about his demeanor.
ET also interviews newbie female lead Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who at least to me, doesn't seem to have the same "Damn, who is that hot-ass girl?!" appeal as Megan Fox. Spielberg liked her though, so what the hell do I know. I'm sure she's a better actor than Fox. Shit, Michael Bay's a better actor than Fox. And speaking of Michael Bay, ET gets him on record saying James Cameron shot Avatar like a little bitch. He doesn't use those exact words, but it's pretty obvious he poo-poos green screen.
Go behind the scenes after the jump...

I knew it was only a matter of time before The Social Network inspired a copycat film. But I hardly expected said film to be a biopic on Karl Rove with Shia LeBeouf playing the Republican strategist. But like Costco on Acid, Hollywood can be a very strange place.
In the wake of The Social Network's success, the L.A. Times brings word that the new hot biopic circulating in Hollywood is the Wes Jones script for College Republicans, a dramedy about Karl Rove's college bid to become chief campus conservative under the tutelage of Lee Atwater. Among the many young hotties vying to play Rove (only in Hollywood!) is Shia LaBeouf...
Now that I think about it, I can totaly see why this might come together. A lot of people seem to hate Karl Rove, a lot of people seem to hate Shia LeBeouf, and I always have to pretend I know who they both are so I don't look stupid. It's the perfect fit. (Vulture)
