Now it looks like they’re going back to the well, because they’ve “sealed the deal” (an industry term for sealing a deal) on a spec script called The Watching Hour by Carey and Shane Van Dyke, the grandsons of famous comedian Dick Van Dyke.

It’s described as being “a home invasion film, only with aliens.” Which sounds pretty cool – imagine if Frank Sinatra in Suddenly turned out to be an alien at the end. Or if in Home Alone Macaulay Culkin was defending his house from alien invaders. I have to go write some fan fiction now, this spec script has captured my imagination.
