With that in mind, it’s time to recall The seven most “Shameless” moments with toppers entirely unique to the series.

Debbie Steals a Baby – Season 1, Episode 4: “Casey Casden”

On top of the ordinary madness of the Gallagher household, Debbie responds to the absence of her Aunt Ginger by stealing baby Casey Casden from a front yard birthday party. Fiona struggles to rally the family to tactfully return the baby while a storm of SWAT teams, news flashes and amber alerts amasses around them.

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Unsatisfied with the sex of her new playmate, Debbie dresses Casey as a girl and shrinks his Superman costume in the dryer.

Frank Hooks Up with His Son’s Girlfriend – Season 1, Episode 12: “Father Frank Full of Grace”

Frank, having shacked-up with Sheila in the Jackson house, finally succumbs to urges that have been gnawing at him for the better part of the first season and shtups Sheila’s daughter Karen. Did we mention that the teen, goth, nympho neighbor is also the girlfriend of his son Lip?

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Karen makes sure to film her dalliance with Frank, using it to break the heart of her puritan father and driving him to commit cartoonish suicide.

Lip Takes the Piss – Season 1, Episode 12: “Father Frank Full of Grace”

Rounding out an incredible season finale, a second infamous moment from this same episode occurred as a result of the aforementioned pedophelia. When a battered Frank stands below his son’s room, begging for Lip to open the window, his eldest son obliges him. What follows is a moment of unparalleled television history, right up there with Sam and Diane’s first kiss: William H. Macy gets pissed on.

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Frank’s character not only takes what’s coming to him, but does so with a chuckle of pride for his eldest son and walks away.

Lip’s Weed/Beer Ice Cream Truck – Season 2, Episode 1: “Summertime”

Alibi bartender and family pal Kev grows so much weed that the electric bill is over $9k, prompting Lip to hatch a scheme in which they attempt to make a dent by peddling weed, beer and buck-a-piece cigarettes from an old ice cream truck. When a playground tween asks Lip for a couple of joints, he playfully quips, “You 14, got I.D.?”

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Lip shows off a “cop-finder” GPS that he has modded to a professor, who offers him a spot on a research team, only to turn it down to use the gizmo for his ice cream truck operation.

Dottie Goes Out with a Bang – Episode 3, Season 2: “I’ll Light a Candle for You Every Day”

Frank has weaseled his way into Dottie’s life, having learned that she has a terminal heart condition. While she agrees to marry the soused hamclown, she later confronts him on his deception, stating that her daughter will inherit her house. Frank, heartbroken for the wrong reasons, settles for $2,000 and a flat screen television to boink Dottie to death.

“Pure Shameless” Topper: after slithering from atop her naked body, Frank shimmies Dottie’s wedding ring off of her finger before amscraying from the scene of the crime. Classy.

Grammy Goes Into the Light – Episode 8, Season 2: “Parenthood”

Grammy Deb epitomizes the essence of a lifetime commitment to shadiness in the Gallagher clan: she sports a neck chain tattoo, sets up a meth lab in the basement of the house and fires a handgun at Sheila. The family learns that she is dying of cancer and excuses some of her O.G. tendencies. Despite their differences, Sheila and Grammy share a tender moment in which the eldest Gallagher tells her former enemy to “(not) pussy out on me”, giving her permission to suffocate her with a pillow.

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Sheila composes herself while still perched atop the pillow that killed his mother to break the news to Frank, “Your mother has passed.”

Gone Baby Gone – Episode 11, Season 2: “Just Like the Pilgrims Intended”

By the end of season two, Sheila’s accepted living with her husband’s ghost and sparks up an affair with Jody, the inept biker husband of her daughter Karen. In one of the strangest and most twisted birth scenes on TV, Karen’s child is revealed to be an Asian baby with Down’s Syndrome. Karen is wickedly detached, simply wanting rid of the baby despite the fact that she’s strung Lip along into believing that he is the father.

“Pure Shameless” Topper: Sheila is a massive agoraphobic and is horrified to leave the safety of her own house and traverse out into the world. The farthest she has ever ventured has been to steal a baby from a hospital.

Of course, you’ll have to watch the remainder of the season on television, and you’ll also have to pay for Showtime to do it, so perhaps I was a bit hasty with that “neanderthal” comment. I apologize. I tend to get carried away.

Shameless – Season 2, Episode 1

Californication – Season 5, Episode 2

You probably don’t realize it, but a lot of work goes into Girl Scout Cookies. Savannah Smile won the top honor this year but it had some really tough competition. Here are the seven cookies that The Girl Scouts of America chose to reject.

“It’s just a body, it isn’t anything,” Rossum snapped in reply to a question about nude scenes. “It doesn’t say who you are inside. I think I revealed way more on this show in scenes were I got to be unattractive and lonely than I ever did in a scene where I was having sex with my boyfriend.”

Given the fact that Rossum believes she looks unattractive in certain scenes, I think it’s safe to say she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Even so, if she feels that showing off her cans is no big deal, then who am I to disagree?

In the end, the moderator smoothed things over by claiming he was actually referring to William H. Macy‘s ass, at which point Rossum laughed and agreed that it was a problem. What a hypocrite.

A few weeks ago, I brought you the greatest topless scenes from HBO’s original programing, and today I’m doing the same for Showtime. While HBO used to have a monopoly on quality original series (topless or otherwise), Showtime has come into its own with shows like”Weeds,”"Dexter,” and “Califronication,” just to name a few. And like HBO, the network isn’t afraid to show some skin.

As with our last outing, keep in mind that I tried to spread the love around. I could have made a list entirely off of “Californication,” but instead, I went for variety. So, my apologies in advance if your favorite girl was left off (although, check our honorable mentions to be sure). That being said, deal with it. You’re still about to look at breasts, so all and all, you have nothing to complain about.

Melissa Stephens – “Californication”

Aside from playing Peggy on “Californication,” Melissa Stephens also plays Ashlynn on “Outsourced.” But something tells me her breasts aren’t utilized nearly as much on “Outsourced,” which is a shame. If they were, I might give it a shot.

Jessica Jaymes and Kirsten Price – “Weeds“

The show is already about illicit drugs, so who’s going to complain if you throw in a subplot about pornography for good measure? Not me, that’s for sure. Jessica Jaymes and Kirsten Price briefly crossed over to the mainstream with this guest spot on “Weeds,” but were then quickly returned to cages in the San Fenando Valley by their trainers.

Courtney Ford – “Dexter“

Courtney Ford’s character on “Dexter” had some real daddy issues. This was compounded by the fact that her daddy was a serial killer played by John Litgow. At any rate, like most girls who have unresolved issues with their fathers, this character loved to get naked, and for that, I was grateful. Realism is important.

British history can be a pretty boring subject. Not many people care about a bunch of dead kings and queens. But throw a topless Charlotte Salt into the mix, and all of the sudden, I feel like reading the god damn Magna Carta.

Jaime Murray played a psychotic bitch on “Dexter.” Luckily, the character happened to be a psychotic bitch who loved to walk around topless, which made her 1000 times more tolerable. (Spoiler Alert) Topless or not, I’m glad she’s dead.

As evidenced by Natalie Dormer’s flat, pancake-like breasts, the producers of “The Tudors” went for realism. Despite what I said earlier, sometimes, realism is overrated. Even so, she still looks great.

Shanola Hampton is also big fan of getting topless. I expected a show called “Shamless” to involve some nudity, but the fact that Hampton is one of three topless women form the series really says something, considering it hasn’t even finished its first season.

I never liked “The ‘L’ Word.” The first time I watched it, I thought I was in for a treat. But then, the first naked breast I saw was being diagnosed with cancer. Talk about a boner killer. However, after watching this girl-on-girl scene, maybe I need to go back and give it another look.

My friend recently commented that Amurri looks like her mother, Susan Sarandon. I never noticed that. In fact, I didn’t even notice she had a face.

All three premiere episodes for the Showtime Originals “Californication,” “Episodes,” and “Shameless” are now available below for your viewing pleasure. Content is NSFW so be sure to keep a Solitaire window on the ready in case your boss comes by. Assuming, of course, that your boss doesn’t mind your playing Solitaire. Check them out.

“Shameless” seems like a good show, alternately hard to take yet fascinating. It’s about the Gallagher family dealing with poverty and alcoholism, but to make it salaciously entertaining, they have more wild shenanigans than depressing despair.

Frank (William H. Macy) is the showy part because he’s the alcoholic patriarch, but it seems to be Fiona’s (Emmy Rossum) show. She’s the one who gets all the chores done around the house, and that extends to gathering free bathroom supplies from her motel day job and keeping up with basic medical treatments to avoid pricey ER visits.

Every episode of the show is busy. With five kids, no activity is simple. Then add the neighbors and Fiona’s love interest Steve (Justin Chatwin). Cross talking and running around the house makes me antsy. When the episode deals with getting Frank back from Canada or scamming the social security department, “Shameless” is packed with busy energy getting all the elements into place, from making fake grandma memorabilia to kidnapping a ringer from the old folks home.

Of course it’s cable, and desperate times lead to debauchery. As high school tutor, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) gets a BJ under the table from Karen (Laura Slade Wigins). I appreciate the balls of doing that while the parents are home, especially bringing brother Ian over (Cameron Monaghan) for some servicing of his own.

Ian is gay though and I like the show’s portrayal of Lip and Ian dealing with sexuality. Lip’s insensitive at times because a teenager in this environment wouldn’t be 100% progressively thinking. He’s a good brother though and he’s not condemning Ian. Fiona’s relationships are sexy. When she and Kevin get down and dirty you won’t be disappointed with what is shown. Veronica (Shanola Hampton) does her ironing topless on a webcam, continuing to have casual conversations.

There is an interesting drama about how an outsider can deal with this family. Steve’s charity and attempts to help aren’t necessarily going to win him any points. The Gallaghers are set in their dysfunction so Steve’s not going to save them.

Three in a row was a lot to take in, but even in a single episode it’s exhausting watching these people drink so much. Frank gets slobbering drunk. He freaks out. He babbles and at the opening of episode two, he gets violent. So it goes there. But Fiona goes clubbing and parties at home. Kev lets Frank run up a bar tab. Karen’s mom Sheila (Joan Cusack) gives the kids beer. They’re all enablers.

There’s just enough humor to save it from Precious territory. It’s not laugh out loud, but the Gallagher’s dig at each other. Old ladies overdose on drugs. Flirting with an agoraphobic turns into a game of dominatrix sex toys. I don’t know why I’d voluntarily listen to Frank’s drunken ramblings. I avoid those in real life. I don’t think it’s supposed to be fun though. These are the consequences of salacious activities, so we pay the price for indulging as voyeurs.

“Shameless” premieres Sunday, January 9th at 10PM EST on Showtime.

Showtime has dropped the trailer for their new drama "Shameless," and William H. Macy can’t help from slurring the voiceover. In the series, Macy plays an alcoholic father to a slew of Chicagoan kids. Emmy Rossum appears to be the one keeping the family afloat and looking adorable in the process.

The Gallagher clan should fit in nicely with the rest of Showtime’s dysfunctional families, such as the Botwins on "Weeds" and the Peytons on "Nurse Jackie." Drugs, booze, and sex always play a major part in their series, not to mention serial killing in "Dexter." Does Showtime know how to party or what?!

"Shameless" premieres January 9, 2011 at 10PM EST.
