Her character having been written out of the series (for now at least), Melvin is branching out into shows that come on after dark, including a brief character arc on “Heros” in 2009 and a pair of back-to-back appearances on “Seven Deadly Sins” last year. Look out for her appearance on “Castle” this Monday.

A word from Rachel: “When you’re an actor you get to be whatever profession you want to be in whatever role you’re playing.”
