When I got to interview Nicolas Cage for Season of the Witch, we got to analyze his preference for weird acting in depth. That’s all background for what goes into his latest performance, so here are a few specifics.

Nic Cage gets weird with us in discussing Season of the Witch, Drive Angry, wigs, dressing as a bear, and licking the audience. On second thought, pretty standard Cage stuff.
Once you get past the wig, Season Of The Witch doesn’t look half bad. I’m not sure why its release was pushed to be dumped in the movie-going wasteland that is January (the New Jersey of months).
Not to be confused with the crappy Halloween sequel of the same name, Season Of The Witch is a new gothic, thriller starring Sir Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman. The large-headed duo portray knights on a mission to bring a violent witch to an abbey for dewitchification and the witch is all like, "No. No. No." It's the Middle Ages equivalent of bringing Amy Winehouse to rehab.Check out the trailer after the jump.
