All that ended yesterday with an all-day “AMA” session on Reddit.com. For those of you with jobs, let me explain that Reddit is essentially a user-generated portal where web denizens post links to funny stories, memes, and pictures of kittens doing stuff. And “AMA” stands for “Ask Me Anything,” a Q&A session made famous by Ashton Kutcher (which should give you an idea of the type of news we’re dealing with right here).

He revealed that he would “most like to guest star” on Zooey Deschanel‘s new Fox show The New Girl, presumably because they both cater to a similar type of Whole Foods-y quirk and angst that everyone at your advertising agency can agree on. He also shared that he’s written a play, All New People, that he’s hoping will premiere in London’s West End next year. I’m sure we will give that one a lot of coverage on our sister site, PlayJunkies.com

The marathon chat session quite literally lasted all day, and I’ve got an article on hot movie lesbians to write, so feel free to check out the back-and-forth in its entirety right here, but please put on your smug boots and smug slicker before wading into this thing.

A word from Eliza: “I think the terminology used in this industry is hilarious. I had a meeting the other day, and someone actually said in conversation, ‘Cut to next week.’ I looked around and was, like, what? Are we in a movie script right now?”

I can’t believe they cancelled “Scrubs” after only nine seasons. I loved the show the whole way through, and I really liked what they were doing with the new medical students. I could have seen it going on like a comedy “ER” with a rotating cast of stars. At least we have nine years of abstract hilarity and gut punching emotion in the archives.

The menu screen is a hilarious brochure video for Winston University. That might be one of the most scathing “Scrubs” spoofs they’ve ever done. The six minute “Scrubbing In” featurette is the basic behind the scenes short explaining the new direction of the season. A little late, but I still liked where they were going with it.

The deleted scenes offer more “Scrubs” jokes but Bill Lawrence introduces them all and talks through most of them. Although he says funny things slamming network sponsors or his own cast, it would be nice to just see the scenes. There were some high fives from the Todd and fantasy sequences in there.

“Live from the Golf Cart” features the two campus security guards, in character, but Robert Maschio joins them as The Todd so I’m always happy to see him in character. It’s only two minutes long so it doesn’t get old and it’s a nice extra for uberfans. A short bloopers reel shows the cast mugging and blubbering. No big deal but it’s fun and they kept it brief.
 

Nicky Whelan is an Australian-born actress/goddess. What do they put in the water over in Australia? All of their hot, talented natives are taking over Hollywood, and rightly so. Isn’t that supposed to be an island full of convicts? If so, I’d gladly swing on down and drop the soap in the shower.

Sarah Chalke was dubbed Second Becky on Roseanne, having replaced the first Becky several seasons in, but she’s better known for her role as shrieky Dr. Elliot Reid on Scrubs. She’s got a hot bod, but apparently she’s all pregnant now. Laaaame.
