Set in Thailand, the update recruits seven paramilitary contractors to defend a small town.

But let’s not be too quick to judge. After all, Sergeo Leone remade Kurosawa’s classic Yojimoto into the Clint Eastwood classic, A Fistful of Dollars. So, maybe there is room for some radical reinterpretation to this story. Mann is best known for having directed the straight-to-DVD film The Tournament starring Robert Carlyle and Ving Rhames.
