And the winners are…
To celebrate its release, we’re giving away three copies of the film!
Even though he died several years ago, Jigsaw is still claiming victims. The most recent of which was a group of very young schoolchildren who accidentally took in a viewing of Saw 3D.
You all voted in the Best Saw Trap of All Time survey, and the winner is…
THE NEEDLE PIT!
Clearly most of you have a crippling fear of hypodermic needles, as the needle pit won with an impressive 25% of the vote. I heard an interview on the radio the other day with Tobin Bell, who plays John Kramer/Jigsaw in the Saw films, and when asked what his favorite trap was, he also said the needle pit. Such a simple trap, yet it's the most disturbing. Makes you think about the human condition, doesn't it, boys and girls? Now let's all go out and donate some blood!
Saw 3D is my most not favorite Saw movie. That’s the worst I’m ever going to say about a Saw film because I love the franchise. I’m impressed that they’ve…
At some point in the new Saw flick, Gina Holden will be chained to a giant metal death machine. How she gets there, whether she survives, and how convincingly she plays the nuanced role of “hot girl in mortal peril” remain to be seen. In any case, though, we're pretty sure she’ll look good doing it.
A word from Gina: "I just loved performing. I wanted to my whole life."
More pics of Gina after the jump…
As anyone who has seen the Saw films will tell you, that Jigsaw guy is a real jerk. Once a successful engineer with a loving wife, John Kramer morphed into a sadistic serial killer after he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Talk about being self-absorbed. That’s called a YP, Jigsaw: your problem, not mine.
But regardless of how you feel about Jigsaw personally, you have to admit he’s a clever guy. Sure, maybe his traps (or “games”) are horribly cruel and unnecessarily elaborate, but damn it if they aren’t impressive. Honestly, when someone is wearing a reverse-bear trap on their mouth, it’s hard to look away. With that in mind, here are 10 of Jigsaw’s greatest traps. (Spoilers Ahead) Also, be sure and take our survey at the bottom to vote for YOUR favorite trap, and sound off in the comment section.
10. The Mausoleum Trap – Saw IV
Pigman abductions will sky rocket. The new trailer for Saw 3D makes a point of letting you know the film is in 3D. It’s reminicent of a teaser for a…
Director: Kevin Greutart Cast: Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell Synopsis: As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw‘s brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek…
Hey guys, it turns out that the next Saw may not be the last of the Saws. That's insane, right? Well, then Betsy Russell is insane, I guess. Here's what the actress told the NY Post:
"Before we thought it was ending [with 'Saw 7'], the writers came up with an unbelievable idea [for 'Saw 8']," Betsy revealed to PopWrap. "It's an amazing story that I would love to see. We want to end near the top, with our integrity intact and not letting the characters die a slow death, so to speak. But I believe in my heart that someday, somehow, ['Saw 8'] will happen."
When was the last time that a long-running horror franchise intended to wrap up the story, but the boost of 3D ticket sales caused it to continue on? In the last month, I mean. See? You can't think of any.
Saw 3D (a.k.a. Saw VII) has hit the Internet, and it's about what you'd expect. If you like watching people get butchered in 3D, you'll love it. If you don't like watching people get butchered in 3D, then you're probably a god damn communist.
While this is supposed to be the final chapter in the wildly successful Saw series, I'll believe it when I see it. I thought Jason Goes to Hell would be the final chapter of Friday the 13th. But eight years later, there was Jason, terrorizing people on a spaceship. Perhaps Jigsaw will somehow visit the crew of seaQuest DSV. I hope so. That talking dolphin needs to be taken down a peg or two.
