While speaking at PaleyFest over the weekend, Frank Darabont revealed that season two will cover familiar ground from Robert Kirkman‘s comic. The Shawshank Redemption/Green Mile director revealed that he and “Priso Break” alum Sarah Wayne Callies will be headed back to the big house.

“I keep getting sent back to prison. It’s such a damn good idea though,” added Darabont. “That moment in the comic where I read it and went, ‘That’s too damn cool not to do.’ It’s such a great idea: ‘Oh look, safety! Cut to the worst possible place in the world.”

Though he did state that they won’t stick too closely to the book. They want to make a show for everyone, not just the comics fans. With that in mind, he’s invited his cast to pitch ideas for their characters. Ugh. I guess that’s what happens when you fire all the writers. (The Wrap)

In attempting to survive the zombie apocalypse, focus is key; distractions can and will prove deadly, followed shortly by undeadly. For the male protagonists of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” Sarah Wayne Callies is going to prove one hell of a distraction. The clear front-runner in the show’s “hottest non-zombie” category, her character is already juggling two gun-slinging beaus, though she doesn’t know it yet. We’ll see how things play out when this love triangle inevitably comes to a head.
