Adding to the parade of guest stars announced in the past few weeks (Henry Winkler, Heidi Klum), the producers of Parks and Rec have finally figured out that all things Swanson are virtuous, so they’ve enlisted Sam Elliott to play the Eagleton counterpart to Nick Offerman‘s manly man.

As the A.V. Club points out, this comes on the heels of the news that Kristen Bell will play Leslie Knope’s counterpart, suggesting that we might be in for a whole slew of Eagleton counterparts to the Pawnee mainstays.

A small prize will be awarded to anyone who can suggest a decent Aziz Ansari clone without sounding racist.

Antonio Banderas is on the hunt for a stripper. And not in the Charlie Sheen Most Dangerous Game kind of way.

In The Big Bang, he plays a private investigator hired by a giant to find his missing stripper girlfriend, Sienna Guillory, and the $30 million worth of diamonds she’s carrying. Along the way he encounters danger, Snoop Dogg on a porn set, James Van Der Beek, Autumn Reeser‘s horny waitress, and Sam Elliott as a gazillionaire visionary trying to re-create the Big Bang beneath the desert.

Sounds all well and good, but just show more of the stripper, guys. Seriously.

Endless Casting Speculation: ‘Spider-Man’s’ Boss Edition http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/endless-casting-speculation-spider-mans-boss-edition/ http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/endless-casting-speculation-spider-mans-boss-edition/#comments Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 Now that Spider-Man has a love interest and a reptilian nemesis, it's time to figure out who will play his comically gruff boss. J.K. Simmons owned the role of J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spidey films, but won't be returning for the high school-based reboot. Which means Hollywood's silverhairs are all up for the part. It's reported that a dozen or so actors are being discussed for the part (which will inevitably go to Liam Neeson, everything goes to Liam Neeson), including "Mad Men's" John Slattery and every cowboy movie ever's Sam Elliott. Hopefully the search will continue because I can't see either of these guys in the role. Slattery's too pretty and Sam Elliott's moustache (though awesome) is just too much for this film to handle. Personally, I'd like to see Mel Gibson in the role. He's looking to trick us into liking him again and dude is seriously good at yelling. Like Olympics good at it. Until next time true believers, when we'll figure out who the hell is going to play Robbie. Stay near a phone guy who played Marcus on "Alias." (What's Playing)
