Hollywood mega-star Kristin Kreuk has been conspicuously quiet about what her next project after “Smallville” will be. But now, on what will henceforth be known as Kreuk Wednesday, her latest role was announced: Kreuk will play “Susan Longstreet, the wife of [Jamie]Bamber’s character” in the upcoming NBC pilot “17th Precinct.” The show is “set in a fictional town where magic trumps science.” So it’s like “Smallville,” only with magic instead of superpowers.

As if you already weren’t absurdly stoked about this show – it’s the brainchild of Ron Moore, who was the creator of the gritty”Battlestar Galactica” reboot that received more critical acclaim than any show on the Syfy Channel was ever supposed to.
