Shirley you can’t be serious.

For years, actor Leslie Nielsen made us laugh in films like The Naked Gun and Airplane!. So when the actor passed away in late 2010, millions of comedy fans were saddened by the news. But now, even in death, Nielsen is still cracking jokes.

Take a look at this picture from the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where Nielsen was laid to rest. “Let ‘er rip” is inscribed on his headstone, in a final, fitting reference to his love of fart jokes. Of course, it also has the double meaning of “Let ‘er rest in peace,” which is a nice touch.

At any rate, here’s hoping that Leslie found that giant Whoopee cushion in the sky. R.I.P.

And stop calling me Shirley.
The star of 'Rope' and 'Strangers on a Train' will be missed.

<a href="http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/farley-granger-rip300.jpg”>Farley Granger isn’t one of the most recognizable names from Hollywood’s golden age. But if you like good movies, there’s an excellent chance you’ve come across him at least once. His most famous work today is his two movies with Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock, Rope and Strangers on a Train. In both movies, he plays a hapless man who gets caught up in a murder plot, with varying degrees of complicity. And he allegedly got those parts when Hitchcock saw a screening of perhaps his greatest performance, in They Live By Night from Nicholas Ray.

After 1951′s Strangers on a Train, his career on the big screen began to taper off a bit, but he continued to work there and on the stage for years. He was 85.

She’s probably most well-known to American audiences as Lara, Superman‘s biological Kryptonian mother in the 1978 blockbuster Superman and its assorted sequels. She also received acclaim for her performances in the movies They Shoot Horses Don’t They? and Tom Jones. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in the former film, and she famously snubbed the Academy after saying she was insulted by receiving a nomination without first being asked. She continued to work fairly regularly up until her death, on stage and onscreen. She was 72.
