Sienna Guillory, an British model turned actress and daughter of famed Cuban guitarist Issac Guillory, made a name for herself in her performance as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. While the movie is little more than fun, violent schlock, her likeness is uncanny to the popular video game character, and she reprises the role in this week’s Resident Evil: Afterlife.

A word from Sienna: “I don’t like my nipples showing. They look like targets.”

They could be. Depends on what your guy’s in to.

Kacey Barnfield is another hot kettle from the Union Jack, who will be showing up in not just one but two classically bad horror sequels this month, Lake Placid 3 and Resident Evil: Afterlife. This, for me, doesn’t matter just as long as I get to have my personal tea time with her soon.

A word from Kacey: “I love playing her, she’s quite a selfish person.”

The first trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife really wanted you to know that the film is in 3D. This one also wants you to know that it’s in 3D, but it has kind of a story sort of too. Milla Jovovich is back as Alice, and she’ fighting more zombies and umbrellas, only this time with the help of an old friend — Ali Larter back as Claire. The guy from "Prison Break" (Wentworth Miller), who plays Claire’s brother, helps the two aggressive females try and take back Los Angeles from the walking dead. 

The film is directed be Paul W.S. Anderson, the other, worse Paul Anderson in the helming game. He directed the first Resident Evil movie, wrote the other two, and I guess decided he wanted to tell his wife how to throw stuff that will be added in later at the camera for the 3D installment of Resident Evil. One question: why is this thing coming out in IMAX? Aren’t those screens being used for films like, I don’t know…Inception. I realize that Resident Evil: Afterlife doesn’t come out until September, but Inception should still be in IMAX then. The studio must be banking on the fact that audiences will never tire of axes flying at their faces.

With all the focusing on who will or will not be objectified in Transformers 3, we’ve lost sight of another important issue. Will someone accessorize their tube top with a gun holster in Resident Evil: Afterlife? Answer is yes. Actress Milla Jovovich tweeted that Sienna Guillory will return to the role of Jill Valentine in the sequel.

“So to answer many of your questions in one fell swoop, yes! The gorgeous and talented Sienna Guillory is back as Jill Valentine in RE4!!!”

That’s pretty much what I just said. You guys could have just taken my word for it. Jerks. In other Resident Evil news, ultimate-re has released a new "3D" poster for the movie. But be warned, it’s 3D in the same sense that the "Lost" finale supplied closure.

Thanks again James Cameron. Your need to develop and deliver a richer viewing experience to movie audiences has caused a ripple effect that cannot be stopped. Not only are ticket prices more expensive as a result, but now a new dimension of evil has been unleashed. Not cool, man. Evil was bad enough before.

The Hell gate you opened is this trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife, and I’ve half a mind to force you to watch it. I should also mention that this is a 3D movie. I’m not sure if that point was driven home by the throwing stars or the sword throwing or the sunglasses throwing. The only thing missing is Milla Jovovich facing camera while playing paddle-ball.
