Here’s where I say something like, “This trailer will whet your appetite for ‘Puss’!” Yup. That’ll do.
It’s like a ‘Shrek’ movie but without ‘Shrek’.
DreamWorks has released the first promotional still for Puss in Boots, the planned spin-off/prequel of the Shrek films. The studio also unveiled a new website for the film, which is scheduled for release in November of 2011.In the film, Antonio Banderas reprises his role as Puss, the smooth-talking cat adventurer. He is joined by Zach Galifianakis, who will play Humpty Dumpty, and Salma Hayek, who will play Kitty, a street-savvy cat with eight enormous, tan-colored breasts, each more beautiful than the last. The producers of Puss In Boots have reportedly called Zach Galifianakis fat in the nicest way possible. The comic has been approached to supply the voice of the rotund, apple-cheeked Humpty Dumpty in the upcoming Shrek spin-off. Of course we all remember the story of Humpty Dumpty — after finding success amongst the Chicago improvisational comedy scene, the nursery rhyme egg went on to find greater fame with a thriving television and film career. Alas, he was tragically cut down in his prime by a deadly combination of alcohol, pills, and wall-sitting. If anyone can handle this mix of comedy and drama, it's Galifianakis. (/Film)
