Johnny Depp Gets LEGO’d, Because All Things Must Get LEGO’d

Natalie Portman pretends she knows how to do ballet in LEGOs. Conan O’Brien insists we stop calling him “Coco” in LEGOs. Keanu Reeves took the red pill and realized the shocking truth that all humans are now made of LEGOs. Whenever’s a movie, a TV show, a video game, or a TV movie based on a video game is released, the great LEGO gods decide there must be a separate but blocky and yellow-faced version too.

So it’s no surprise that Johnny Depp is the latest to get the LEGO treatment, specifically for his role as swishbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. (See image to the right.) Depp will most likely shit reconstructable bricks when he learns that it took more than 150,000 blocks and 200 man hours to complete builder Erik Varszegi’s tribute. It’s all part of the lead-up to Manhattan’s American International Toy Fair, where hopefully you can get that awesome little LEGO Wizard I used to love. His wand glowed-in-the-dark, a feat I’m sure Capt. Brick Sparrow cannot top.
