'The Muppets' Trailer, For Real This Time

Those lovable monsters/puppets The Muppets are coming to a theater near you (again) on November 23rd. In anticipation of this, Disney recently unveiled a bunch of new photos from the movie. You can check them out above – highlights include appearances by Chris Cooper and Wanda Sykes, not to mention a bunch of Muppet faces, both familiar and obscure. Want more funny pictures?

Apparently, the presentation on The Muppets at D23 was a success, with the clips and live portions getting positive reactions from those in attendance. Nobody from Screen Junkies is at D23 though, so you’ll have to make do with these photos.You read it here first. (The Playlist)

Why should Dori, Nori, and Ori get all the…glory? They had their day in the sun yesterday with the release of this image. Before that, Bilbo got his glamour shots. Now, it’s time for Oin and Gloin to shoin. (I’m so very sorry.) With The Hobbit casting complete, Peter Jackson is starting to roll out images of its more diminutive characters.

So who, exactly are Oin and Gloin? You’re going to have to read the book to find out.

Just kidding. This is what Yahoo said about them:

Distant cousins of Thorin Oakenshield, these two doughty Northern Dwarves join the Company out of a sense of loyalty to their kin, and also because they have a substantial sum of money invested in the venture. Along with Bombur, Gloin is the only other married Dwarf in the Company (there being a shortage of female dwarves in general). His wife is an acclaimed beauty with a particularly fine beard. Gloin is the proud father of a young son, Gimli, who will go on to become part of the famous Fellowship of the Ring.

They do look rather doughty, don’t they? Doughty as shit, if you ask me. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go look up “doughty.”

Humans And Robots Can’t Coexist In New ‘Transformers 3′ Pics

Many theorists have postulated that the future might hold humans and robots as friends. Robots holding hands with human children, robots recording duets with Mary J. Blige, robots ordering pizza and generously tipping the delivery guy– the sky’s the limit. But Dr. Michael Bay has a differing opinion based on his upcoming thesis entitled Transformers: Dark of the Moon. And as you can see above, his vision of the future doesn’t have any human/robot hand-holding, but instead mass destruction perpetrated by robots on a grand scale.

There are also two photos that don’t have any robots, unless the new model Transformers have the ability to transform into Shia LaBeouf. But before you weep for the future, remember: Michael Bay could be wrong. You might find yourself in the not-too-distant future enjoying friendship with a robot. Gaze Upon Jake Gyllenhaal’s Gleaming Dome In ‘End Of Watch’ Set Photos

Here’s a startling development: It turns out Jake Gyllenhaal isn’t merely starring in End of Watch – he shaved his head and everything! My claim that he is the next Bruce Willis is really starting to bear out – funny because I had no idea what I was talking about at the time. The other mope in these pictures is Michael Peña, who did not shave his head, which I assume means that he is not as good an actor as Gyllenhaal.

New ‘Green Lantern’ Pics Are Green And Heroic

If you’re a superhero movie fan, you might be suffering from Green Lantern Diminished Expectations Syndrome, or GLDES. Symptoms include a lack of interest in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie, and…that’s pretty much the only symptom. Some sufferers have claimed that watching the recently unveiled Green Lantern footage alleviated their GLDES, but it’s still a pretty widespread problem. These new photos of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern might be a fairly effective treatment, as long as your case is very mild.

Aaaand I’m sick of doing GLDES jokes. Anyway, these photos are pretty standard superhero material, but I guess they look pretty cool. I would have preferred some pictures of him actually using the ring, but I’m also glad they appear to be keeping some of that stuff a surprise. (The Latino Review)

New Photos From ‘War Horse’ Have 0 Pictures Of Horses Shooting Guns

Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming War Horse, despite the title, appears to not be about horses being trained to fight as men. Instead, it “it follows Albert, a young boy who enlists in the army during WW1 after his beloved horse Joey is sold and sent to the front,” which certainly sounds like a Spielbergian weeper of the highest order. Anyway, as you can see in the gallery, the photos show a lot of period detail and the like, and a shot of Spielberg commanding his troops. War Horse is set to gallop (like a horse) into theaters on December 28th. (via The Playlist)

AMC’s ‘The Killing’ Gets Release Date, Super Serious Photos

AMC has a reputation for television excellence, and as a result each announcement of a new series is met with frenzied anticipation, much like the anticipation of the latest batch of sweet sweet crystal meth from Breaking Bad‘s Walter White (had to fit in that reference somehow). Anyway, the next series to make people on the internet lose their shit is “The Killing,” based on the Danish TV series “Forbrydelsen,” which is probably Danish for “this will make you wonder why you ever pay to go to the movies.” It’s set to premiere on Sunday, April 3rd at 9 PM, so keep that day clear of any less-important events like the birth of your firstborn or a major terrorist attack. THE GAME IS IN THE RUNNING TO PLAY B.A. BARACUS

Former G-Unit rapper The Game may be ready to join the A-Team according to this article from ComingSoon. The Joe Carnahan-directed reboot has yet to find it’s B.A. Baracus with a number of names having been thrown into the ring so far. Common, Ice Cube, and "Rampage" Jackson have all come up in casting discussions. The Game is my favorite of these options. I feel like he could really bring to the screen the intimidating please-don’t-kill-me vibe that this role needs (a lot more than Common anyway).

But let’s face the fact that no one will be able to fill Mr. T’s shoes. Therefore they should just cast the man himself. He’d be willing to do it. Heck, he was willing to be in this picture.

Film School Rejects has posted the first pics of Megan Fox in Diablo Cody’s latest Jennifer’s Body. In the film, Fox stars as high school cheerleader turned blood-thirsty, demonic cannibal after she is improperly sacrificed to Satan. This information just helps to reinforce my theory that Satan is a total dick.
