‘The Technology Is Where We Need It’ To Greenlight A ‘Peanuts’ Film

I had no idea that the barrier to a Peanuts film had been insufficient movie-making technology, but I guess all that’s moot now, as Charles Schulz’s son Craig has informed the world that we’re where we need to be, technologically, to get the ball rolling on a feature film adaptation of the beloved comic strip.

And roll that ball will.

On November 25, 2015, Charlie, Lucy, Schroeder, Pigpen, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock, Snoopy, and the black kid (Roosevelt?) will be finding their way back into theaters, ushered across screens via technology so bleeding edge that hemophiliacs need not apply.

Does this mean that the film will be in 3-D, possibly with some sort of mechanism that allows us to smell the top of Charlie Brown’s head as his curly hairs dance and tickle the underside of our noses, causing audiences to get more sexually stimulated than we ever thought possible by a man with a giant, giant head.
