That's what he gets for Willennium.

It looks like Will Smith is back in full effect. Not only is he busy making a sequel, but his own sequels are burning up bot the box office and Billboard charts.

Smith has signed on for a potential Men In Black 3 follow up called Joe. Based on the Old Testament’s Book of Job, Smith would play a man who is the target of a millennial (or Willennial) wager between God and the Devil. In the film he has the perfect life — nice house, non-blogging career, hot wife, great kids — only to have it all taken away in rapid order.

“God and the devil get together every thousand years to bet on a man’s life, and the fate of the world is at stake. What all of us get hit with in a lifetime, this man gets hit with in one week. And it’s about whether or not he can still pick himself up from that and survive it. It’s a dramedy. At it’s heart, it’s a comedy — but it’s got, obviously, a real dramatic core to it,” says The Fighter co-write Paul Tamasy.

So, he’ll get hit in the balls and stuff and it will tug at your heartstrings. Thank goodness. I’ve been waiting patiently for a comedy that would take us someplace Old Dogs couldn’t. (Collider)
