Standing only 5’2”, Panattiere serves as this list’s “Shetland hottie.” She might not have Rihanna’s tall grace, but she more than makes up for it by looking like a cute tiny teenager while wearing a cheerleading outfit. She would have appeared higher on this list, but she was romantically involved with boxer Vladimir Klitschko which upsets me for a number of reasons, none of which I’m going to get into in this forum.

Yaya DeCosta

This Tron: Legacy actress finished 3rd in America’s Next Top Model, which springboarded her into acting. She stole a handful of scenes in The Kids Are All Right as Mark Ruffalo’s coworker/eff buddy and appears in the upcoming Justin Timberlake sci-fi crime thriller In Time.

I can’t speak to whether or not whips and chains excite Yaya the way they do Rihanna, but I’m comfortable assuming they do until I hear otherwise.

Minka Kelly

The star of Friday Night Lights and the soon-to-be cancelled (I’m guessing) Charlie’s Angels on ABC can not only face-off against Ms. Umbrella, but emerge victorious. Realizing I know next-to-nothing about Ms. Kelly, I looked her up to find that she was last year’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” winner. How ‘bout that!

She recently broke up with Derek Jeter, so if you think your game is on par with the likes of him, by all means, call her up. I don’t have her phone number, but I’m sure she’s listed.

In this trailer, we find that Justin Timberlake’s Will Salas is accused of murder, he must live as a poor person, hustling for every minute to make it through the day. So this film should fall in line with other like minded films like Crank, and even Die Hard with a Vengeance (when they’re on that little scavenger hunt), which shouldn’t distinguish it from a whole grip of other “clock is running out” films, but the idea that an entire economy is based on the allocation of time rather than dollars could be pretty interesting if it’s developed between scenes of people jumping off balconies and running down alleys.

Joining JT on this adventure are Olivia Wilde, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Alexy Petyfer, and Johnny Galecki. The film hits October 28, so start saving those minutes now.

Wilde is considering taking the lead in one of two Linda Lovelace biopics currently in the works. “I’m being very careful about my next project since I’m now in a position where I can be really picky. It would be a tremendous honor. It’s such a cool role. She was a fascinating woman—with where she came from to Deep Throat to then working with Gloria Steinem and Nora Ephron. It’s really fascinating,” says the actress.

I can see why she would want to take on such a challenging role. But I’d also think she could easily get involved with a Nora Ephron project herself and sidestep simulated fellatio on James Franco. But, hey, to each their own. (E! Online)

Cowboys & Aliens starring Daniel Craig, naked Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell, and Abigail Spencer opens on July the 29th.

Ahhhhhhhhh….

Wilde’s role hasn’t been disclosed, but she joins a cast already packed with the aforementioned Cooper, John Hannah, J.K. Simmons, Dennis Quaid, Jeremy Irons, and Zoe Saldana. The Words follows a writer who finds there is a stiff price to pay for stealing another man’s work. A thrilling price? Probably.

This role is just one of many Wilde has lined up for herself as she is quickly finding herself scheduled to a Franco-esque degree, but without all the batshit crazy side projects. She’s got Cowboys and Aliens, The Change-Up, In Time, Butter, Welcome to People, Blackbird, and of course, a little TV show called “House.”

No wonder she doesn’t have time to date my buddy Craig. (Variety)

We also catch a glimpse of an alien this time around. It’s what you’d expect. We only catch a gnarled, boney Joan Rivers hand with reptilian skin gripping a rock while it lifts itself out of frame. It’s the only confirmation that we need that there are actually aliens in this movie. Up until this point, I was sure that jet from Stealth was up to its old tricks.

Above is the new trailer for Jon Favreau‘s Cowboys & Aliens, starring Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Harrison Ford. I like this new trailer. It’s got thrills, chills, cowpokes, alien folks. It gives you just enough to understand the complex, gun-based relationship between cattle rustlers and space invaders.

Based on a graphic novel – because of course it was – by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, the film takes place in 1873, in the desert town of Absolution. Those old west towns have the friendliest names. A criminal with no memory of his past (Craig) must team up with the town sheriff (Ford) to stop aliens from destroying everyone. Olivia Wilde plays a girl character. It has a couple producers you probably haven’t heard of, like Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg.

The shoot-out comes to theaters July 29, 2011.

The film is about two potheads in Laguna Beach who might ultimately be played by Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch. A badass Mexican drug cartel kidnaps Ophelia, forcing the two top dealers to work for them. My understanding is that nobody cries, “mellow out man,” and Neil Patrick Harris remains uninvolved.

Stone’s first-first choice for Ophelia was Jennifer Lawrence, who chose to play Katniss in The Hunger Games instead, which is thrilling news if you’re anxiously awaiting the next Twilight-y series. However, Stone might not get his second choice either, because Lively is also in talks to star as Glinda the Good Witch in Sam Raimi‘s Oz: The Great and Powerful. Will he have to “settle” for plain ol’ Olivia Wilde or Teresa Palmer?

This is it, folks. The “House” episode Thirteen fans have been waiting for. I’ll be vague so I don’t spoil it but you know from the TV spots that Thirteen is back and House finds her getting out of prison. I’m loving the bangs Olivia Wilde is rocking now.

House takes Thirteen on a road trip while the rest of the team solves a case at the hospital. Honestly, they could have taken one episode off from the medical formula for a dramatic plot of the magnitude of Thirteen’s return, but they still do both. If you’re wondering about House’s new wife, she’s mentioned in an offhanded remark, so that might not be such a permanent fixture.

It turns out an entire year has gone by since Thirteen left, and it would be House’s one year anniversary of dating Cuddy. TV time usually slows down but in this case September to April in our time actually accelerates us into the future of “House” time. Unless the season began six months in the past in which case we’re caught up to the present.

What I’m getting at is there’s a whole year of Thirteen’s story to catch up. House fills in the year and even addresses her willingness to be named a number. Thirteen creates new secrets while they’re on the road, so there’s a lot to uncover. You might wish for a little more humor in their banter. It’s just Thirteen protests and House presses, but look at it this way: they’re not sugar coating it.

House recaps his relationship with Cuddy to fill Thirteen in too. It is a real testament to the show that we love the characters so much that it’s compelling to see them go over information we already know. House’s hobby gives them something to bond over on the road, and introduces another fun House quirk and a funny western spoof.

Without House, the medical case has to compensate to keep it interesting. They throw everything at this case to try to sell it. Even with environmental factors, secrets and emotion, it’s still a medical case without House. He calls in a few times but it’s really the team on their own.

A large part of the team’s story deals with Taub and Foreman. Foreman gets really jealous of Taub’s game with the ladies. It’s funny, if a bit surprising how much focus it gets. Cuddy and Wilson are not in the episode at all.

The last thing I’ll say about “The Dig” which I think “House” fans will appreciate is this: in both of the stories, on the road with Thirteen and in the hospital with the patient, the first thing they think it is, is not what it turns out to be. Sorry for the spoiler, but it turns out the first theory is not correct and they have to revise their theory as new information comes out.

“House” is back Monday, April 11.

So how does a movie that practically begs for big screen presentation fair in the home theater? Surprisingly well. If you were only kind of lukewarm on this movie when it hit the multiplex, you now have the option of skipping past Jeff Bridges as Clu every time he’s on screen so you don’t have to see that horrible, horrible mo-cap facial animation (note: that isn’t an automated feature, you’re going to have to manually fast-forward past the suck). You can re-watch the light cycle sequence over and over and over again, staring at the light trails with your eyes glassy and your jaw hanging open—seriously, if ever there was a scene that deserved immediate reviewing it’s anything in this movie with light trails. Hell, you can even throw it on while you’re listening to music and just have the candy-coated visuals play in the background.

The transfer is, of course, crisp and beautiful. As we move into an increasingly digital world I think crappy DVD and Blu-ray transfers will be a thing of the past. This movie looks gorgeous and practically begs for you to go out and get a newer, better, bigger TV. The audio is just as nice. This movie bumps and if you’re a Daft Punk fan, you are legally required to own this disc along with Interstella 5555.

This brings us to the special features, which are decent but a little sparse.

• First Look at “TRON: Uprising”- First look unless you saw it online a month ago. It’s the new animated series featuring a grip of good voice talent, and it looks awesome until you see the character design/animation. Ew. It looks like a bad DC cartoon. Doesn’t mesh with the sweet light cycles and environments at all.

• Visualizing TRON- Watch this if only to see how they made the suits worn in this movie. Insane. I can’t believe this wasn’t even nominated for a Costume Design Oscar. I would literally kill someone for a motorcycle jacket with lit panels on the inside. There could honestly be a lot more making-of type stuff in here, but oh well.

• Installing the cast- Nothing too interesting here. But you do get to see more of Olivia Wilde. I would watch her read the phone book. I’m not kidding. You also get to see Garret Hedlund have what looks like an insane amount of fun prepping for his role.

• The Next Day: Flynn Lives Revealed- This also leaked a few weeks back. It could have been cool but the faux-documentary style is ruined by horrible acting. There are a couple neat easter eggs at the end on the high score screen. It’s pretty self explanatory, but what you’re looking for is DJR and SPC if I’m not mistaken. One is an exchange between Dillinger Jr and an old friend, and the other is a fake 80s commercial for Space Paranoids. Both pretty sweet. The rest are just extended bits from the Next Day short.

• TRON: Disney Second Screen- The Second Screen App wasn’t available at the time I reviewed this, which sucks. Basically when the movie starts you hit play on the app, and as the movie progresses you can some cool bonus info on your screen, like vehicle schematics and scene progressions (animatic to green screen to complete scene).

• Launching the Legacy- Not that interesting. They really pat themselves on the back when it comes to predicting the future in the first movie. Ironic since they completely ignored all the cool advances in computing since the original TRON came out. The Internet? Hacking? Maybe these things would have made your movie a little less like the original? Maybe?

• Disc Roars- Spoiler: the crowd cheers in the arena during the disc wars scene was a bunch of sweaty nerds at Comic-Con. If you were there, relive the best day of your life. If you were not there, you probably don’t care.

• “Derezzed” Music video- If you haven’t seen Daft Punk’s video for Derezzed then you suck. It’s a quick look inside a TRON-like jousting game that kind of mashes up visuals from both TRON movies, and it’s pretty much the greatest music video since whatever Daft Punk’s last music video was. I kid, but only slightly. Seeing Daft Punk in costume is always awesome.

That’s it. No audio commentaries for some reason. Kind of bummed about that. And no deleted or extended scenes either. Maybe they’re saving it for when TRON 3 comes out in 2030.

Final verdict: If you were a fan of the flick and actually still buy Blu-rays, it’s a no-brainer. If you’re looking for a disc to show off your bad-ass new home theater rig, it’s a no-brainer. If you’re on the fence but looking for special features, know that the movie looks and sounds amazing, but you may want to stick to renting. Everyone else, at least give it a rent. I think once your expectations have been dashed by digital Jeff Bridges emotionless face you’ll be able to embrace some really, really cool-looking action scenes.

The director is finally dusting off his sci-fi caper film, now with the clever name “untitled Moon project,” which has been lingering at Paramount after a jump from Dreamworks in 2007. After rewrites by top screenwriters like Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes), and now that Liman’s All You Need Is Kill is getting killed for lack of momentum at Warner Bros, Liman is ready to round up actors for a good old fashioned space heist.

For the male lead, Limon’s met with Andrew Garfield, Emile Hirsch and Chris Pine. Of course, Chris Pine has spaceperience (space experience) as Star Trek‘s Captain Kirk, but I’m sure Spider-Man‘s been to space a bunch of times. No biggie. Jake Gyllenhaal used to be attached, but he ain’t no more.

Here’s the plot:

The story centers on a renegade group of former space employees, led by an Eastern European woman, who travel the world, stealing space equipment in an attempt to go back to the moon to acquire an energy source. The last item to steal — or in this case, kidnap — is an ex-NASA employee.

You’ve got to hand it to them – if you’re a criminal, what better place is there to escape to than the moon? It’s very unlikely the police will follow you in a squad rocket. Then again, how do you inconspicuously re-enter the earth’s atmosphere? (Hollywood Reporter)

In the latest installment, Olivia is decked out as the Evil Queen from Snow White, being validated by none other than Alec Baldwin, who probably stares at Olivia Wilde in real life, too.

Less exciting entries in this installment of the campaign include Queen Latifah as Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and Penelope Cruz and Jeff Bridges as Beauty and the Beast, which I feel is really selling Mr. Bridges short in the looks department.

Unfortunately for people who don’t care about an age-appropriate Lois, Kristen Stewart has taken herself out of contention. The NY Daily News reports that Stewart declined to read because she wants to take on smaller projects. Translation: she’s tired of super-fans creeping outside her bedroom window.

Two names that didn’t appear on the casting list originally are Wonder Woman lookalikes Olivia Wilde and Mila Kunis. Makes sense to include them. Both are on career highs and tend to end up on every casting shortlist. So, let’s go ahead and add Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson to the list now so we don’t need to write about it later. After that, we eliminate all these ladies we can open it up to overseas. (via The Playlist)

Wilde was the best part of Tron Legacy, besides the light cycles, and has upcoming appearances in Cowboys & Aliens, Butter, Now, and The Change-Up. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching her on “House” over the past few years and totally support her being in anything and everything. Elizabeth Banks can come too. (THR)

"Up top! Nobody? No? Aw krikey."

Looks like Eric Bana won’t have a chance to play with his Christmas toys. He’s just signed on to a new crime thriller and has his eye on the presidency for another role.

Bana has signed on to Kin, opposite Olivia Wilde and Charlie Hunnam. In the film he and Wilde play siblings on the lam who encounter an ex-boxer played by Hunnam. Writer Zach Dean has said he came up with the idea while trapped on an airplane with faulty landing gear. I do my best thinking while crapping too.

In addition to Kin, Bana is practicing the proper pronunciation of Timur Bekmambetov‘s name before the two meet to discuss Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It’s not a done deal by any stretch but if Bana can rock the stove-pipe hat, the role just might be his. Unless Liam Neeson steps up to the plate. We kinda owe him a Lincoln role. The video is mostly a tip of the hat to fans of the original film, done up mostly in the throwback (cost effective) style. But it’s also a tip of the hat to fans saying, “Hubba hubba,” as Olivia Wilde shows up near the end. As if she’d ever set foot in an arcade.

They did it. Tron Legacy is everything you want it to be. It out Matrixes The Matrix with its special physics and gravity, and even more poignant metaphysical themes.

My favorite part is actually in the real world though. Seeing the Tron memorabilia, toys and posters in young Sam Flynn’s room shows a world in which our Tron exists in a more real way. I love the idea that grown up Sam (Garrett Hedlund) is using his family cred to mess with the Encom board and rebel against Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner). Corporations are bad and software should be free. Right, Disney?

When Sam gets into the grid, we get the spectacle we expected, but more importantly an expanded mythology and just plain cool action. It starts with revamped twists on familiar games, the discs and the cycles (no tanks though.) After that, they take us to new realms of the grid. We’re really just thrust into the world with little exposition.

When we finally get to see Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) again, he has some Dude-like moments of backstory. I love the metaphysics this story suggests. Tron had hints of the possibilities, but Legacy explores the images of ourselves, manifested beings and the idea that the pursuit of perfection is corrupt. Clu (young Jeff Bridges) makes total sense. You would create Clu if you were Kevin Flynn, so what he represents is more than just a villain.

The young Jeff Bridges effect looks pretty glassy, and I say we should forgive it because the idea of a young Jeff Bridges in a Tron sequel is awesome. Awesome is always more important than realistic. However, it speaks to a bigger artistic problem that’s worth discussing, as the film’s only flaw. The filmmakers show young Bridges head on. It’s egotistical and calls attention to the effect, which defeats the purpose of trying to create a seamless reality. Even if you have a perfect effect, you should still obscure the special effect in some way, show him from the side or less clearly. It’s more artistic to tease the effect. It builds more wonder. That’s what Spielberg learned with Jaws when he couldn’t show the shark.

This is the reason older special effects look more realistic. It’s not that modern effects are worse, it’s that filmmakers think they can just show everything. Staring at something blatantly isn’t special. Building it with technique is, so that should be one lesson artists take from the powers of technology. The visual effects in the real world are terrible, but I guess those aren’t the important ones.

The 3D is fine. There’s no headache. Perhaps the color scheme is consistent enough to keep the eyes comfortable. There are deep layers throughout the grid to stretch back miles behind the screen. It’s filmed with a blissfully smooth camera so you can actually enjoy all the visuals.

Tron Legacy is great because of the story, not the effects or style. It is full of pretty ladies, impressive physical specimens and wild characters. I love Quorra (Olivia Wilde) the happy program, and all the quirks Castor (Michael Sheen) lets loose just because he can. This is a world you’ll want to revisit again and again.

Since porno and adorable kittens are the Internet’s chief exports, it was only a matter of time before a Tron: Legacy XXX porn parody rezzed into the real world. We’ll keep you posted when an all-kitten parody appears.

As you can see pictured above, Zoe Voss is slipping into the leather bodysuit to fill the Olivia Wilde role. And Anthony Rosano has been cast to fill Zoe Voss. There’s no video yet, but I felt the need to report that this exists. Mostly because of the awesome title, Pron. I’m really happy they didn’t go the other route and name it Torn. Normally I’d protest that Disney is showing too much, but I have a feeling this is only a small taste of what’s to come. Having got the chance to see 3D footage already, I can guarantee you the neon lights and derezing is even cooler when it’s directly in front of your face. The same goes for Olivia Wilde. If only you could reach out and touch her… Can’t James Cameron and Disney combine their forces to invent that technology? Olivia-Wilde-vision. Ten years from now you’ll spend your kids’ food money to experience it.

It’s "Tron Tuesday" again everyone, and you know what that means! A new Tron Legacy clip that doesn’t show the really good parts that you don’t want spoiled anyway! Last week we saw Olivia Wilde, who plays Quorra, taking Sam on a Light Runner ride to unknown territory. Now that territory becomes not unknown, or rather, known.

In this new clip entitled "You’re Here," Sam is reunited with his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), who’s been going batty in a computer program for the past several decades. You know he’s losing his mind because he stares off into the abyss and is dressed in all white. Onl mad men and Boyz II Men dress in all white.

Disney released this clip of Tron Legacy that shows off Tron‘s car. Seems like a good car! It’s got new 7-speed automatic transmission for improved fuel economy and performance, standard 22-inch wheels and tires, LCD instrument display, Standard Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control, an Advanced Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system, a 12-disc CD changer, and it kinda looks like the 1960′s Batmobile humped a Skechers sneaker.

In the clip, Olivia Wilde‘s Quorra saves Sam Flynn from some kind of danger and the two escape by cyber-off-roading. Quick note: if you want to escape into darkness, a car traced with light may not be the ideal getaway vehicle.

Andrew Niccol is scooping up all the pretty people for his now untitled sci-fi film. Olivia Wilde is the latest hot, young thing to join the cast that already consists of Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, and Vincent Kartheiser. Wilde will play Timberlake’s hot mom, in the film about a society where the aging gene is turned off at age twenty-five. Hence, old and gross people can appear twenty-five forever.

Originally called I’m.mortal, the film is now currently untitled. That’s good news for sh*tty trip-hop bands in Florida who may be in need of a name. (EW)

Blowing out magical birthday candles, touching an ancient artifact, pissing off a gypsy, and wanting to bang Olivia Wilde so hard. All are now acceptable catalysts for the plots of body swapping comedies. Wilde just joined the cast  of David Dobkin‘s The Change Up.

In the film, Jason Bateman plays a married man who switches bodies with his slacker best friend Ryan Reynolds. Wilde plays a co-worker of Bateman and is cited as a reason for the body swap. I assume that means so that he could bang her. I guess it could mean something else, but this is what makes the most sense to me. It’s the perfect plan, and I’m sure guys everywhere are going to try to pull it off themselves. Now Hans, here. Hold this live electrical wire at precisely the same time as me. (Deadline)
