Currently the series is called “More As The Story Develops.” When I wished I could “see more” of Olivia Munn, her suddenly getting a lot of acting work was not what I had in mind. Stupid monkey’s paw. Meanwhile, Allison Pill (Milk) joins the cast as an associate producer in a shaky relationship with another staffer. The reason the relationship’s shaky? He accidentally asked her to give him some “forehead.” (Hollywood Reporter)

The old and buster Spider-Man, Topher Grace, is set to star in Gently Down The Stream along with Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried and Katherine Heigl. He’ll play De Niro’s son, who falls in love with his adopted brother’s Latin sister. Eh, that kind of thing happens all the time, I’m sure. Justin Zackham is directing. (Deadline)

Rapper / actor / vitamin water aficionado 50 Cent will play blind DJ Shamus Cocobolo in Stephen Sommers‘ Odd Thomas. Yeah, that does sound odd. Based on the bestseller by Dean Koontz, the film’s about a clairvoyant short order cook (Anton Yelchin) who follows around a suspicious man connected to an impending disaster. Odd Thomas also stars Addison Timlin, Willem Dafoe and Patton Oswalt. (Variety)

Yeah, that’s gonna be a major stretch for her.

She was chatting with some executive types in suits, but politely excused herself when I asked to talk to her. What struck me was she could totally turn on the sex talk for the gossipy folks earlier in the afternoon, then be sweet and nice to the boy asking more romantic questions. That’s how she’s gone from “Attack of the Show” co-host to sitcom star, “Daily Show” correspondent, author and centerfold.

Q: The show is about couples, but you’re single. Have you been in a third wheel situation where all your friends are couples?

Olivia Munn: It’s now, present day, yeah. Everybody that I know is a couple, although I have a few friends who are single but I don’t get to see them as much. All my closest friends are couples.

Q: Do you have couple friends who are very generous and invite you, but you don’t really want to go on their couples date?

OM: No, Christine Woods on my show, she plays Julia, her boyfriend is amazing. His name’s Tim, he’s great. They’re like my brother and sister now. I went with them to Iowa for Christmas to see his family. I followed along with them. I had no qualms about going with them on their trip.

Q: It seems like you would fit in, in any situation.

OM: You’d think that but I’m actually pretty antisocial in certain things. I get bad anxiety in certain situations. Meeting new people, I have a really hard time but if I’m with people I know, then I’m good.

Q: So it’s about having people you’re comfortable with.

OM: If I’m with people I’m comfortable with, then I’m good. I think all you need is one person who really knows me and knows wh I am. Then I’m good. You can’t make everyone happy but as long as you have someone with you who really knows who you are.

Q: Have you always felt that way?

OM: Yeah, because I grew up traveling a lot. Every time you’re in a new school, people are so hard on you. What I realized is once I know who I am, everywhere can be like home. I surround myself with people who I love. Everybody else is kind of like, I’ll meet new people but I think when you have people that really know and love you, you don’t need like 20 friends. You just need two.

Q: The first shot we see you on the show you’re sprawled out on the bed. How do you sleep in real life?

OM: I sleep in a fetal position curled up with a blanket over my head. Like I just completely curl up. The bed can be massive, but I just curl up in a ball.

Q: Is it hard to fake sleep?

OM: No, you know since I’ve watched people badly fake sleep on TV and it makes me mad. I’m like, “You look like you’re fake sleeping.” So I think I tried to really work hard on the fake sleeping and the surprise wakeup.

Q: What funny storylines are coming up?

OM: Vance and Amy, they’re going through a breakup and how do the friends deal with two friends who are breaking up? What do you do there and whose side are you really on?

Q: And you have to pick sides, right? You can’t be friends with both.

OM: On our show, we have to be because everyone’s a series regular. But in real life, I’m a big believer in you leave with what you came in with. If you came in and I met them only because they’re your friends, they’re your friends. I hate when girl break up with a guy and they stay in contact with all of their friends. I think it’s so see through. It’s like you’re still trying to stay in contact with the guy and you know what? There are seven billion people in the world. You can find more friends. He takes his friends, you take your friends, call it a day.

Q: You were always very ambitious. Has anything surprised you about your plan to dominate the media?

OM: Every day, I am surprised and so unbelievably grateful. There isn’t a day that goes by honestly that I don’t think about the fans and then feel guilt for not doing more for them, honestly. I feel like I should be doing so much more and hosting dinners for all of them. When I was in Comic-Con there was a group of hardcore really great fans who always go above and beyond. At my hotel I did a big dessert kind of dinner with them. It was every dessert on the menu and we all hung out, like 20 of us. I know that I’m only here because of the fans and I work hard. I know that a lot of it has to do with what I’m doing on my own but most of it, the majority has to do with the fans because you can’t tell people who to like. So I’m just very thankful and lucky that they get me, my sense of humor and they’re supportive. So every day I wake up surprised and unbelievably grateful.

Q: When your fans tweet you, can you read all our @ mentions?

OM: No, I can’t read it unfortunately. When I do see some and I want to respond back and I do, and sometimes I feel bad. I feel weird guilt because I want to do it but then I feel like I haven’t done enough [to update], so maybe I’ll hold off and wait until I do more. And then I think: oh wait, too much time has gone by and I haven’t done anything. I’m always in a constant struggle with my guilt and wanting to show my gratitude, but I’m so thankful to everybody. Twitter is so fantastic. You have 140 characters to say something and I can read it quickly, but it’s nice.

Q: There are Twitter personalities and celebrities who constantly do paragraphs of tweets.

OM: Well, then I think that they should be blocked.

Q: What stories in the news do you want to comment on for The Daily Show?

OM: I wouldn’t even begin to say what I want to do. Daily Show is such a well oiled machine. There is so much going on in the world and I am every day blown away by the talent and the precision that that show has. It is unbelievable and when I get called to go in, it’s amazing when you’re working something out there and somebody makes an edit or a change, they’re exactly right. Jon Stewart, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it forever. He is the smartest, quickest, nicest, most humble person on the planet Earth. And yes I’ve met everybody on the planet Earth. So on the show, I would never even think to. Right now, I’m so in and out, I’ll let them tell me. I get my call, I come in, do my job and bow out and say, “Thank you for having me.”

Q: Is there anything you want to ask me?

OM: Yeah, do you think people are going to like the show?

Q: Well, I’m calling it affable in my review. I think it’s likeable.

OM: I really like that. I hope so because we had a blast shooting it so I hope people like it. You never know. You can’t tell people what to like so fingers crossed.

Q: As opposed to “Traffic Light” which was obnoxious.

OM: What’s that?

Q: A Fox show that’s also about a married couple, a dating couple and a single guy but it’s really obnoxious.

OM: If you hate it, I hate it.

“Perfect Couples” is an affable TV comedy. It’s nothing new and not outrageous enough to be memorable, although it could get there. In its initial state, it’s something you wouldn’t mind if it was on, which is better than some obnoxious shows you want to turn off. We’ll see if it distinguishes itself or just coasts on Thursday nights.

The premiere opens with three sleeping women spread out on their beds. That’s hot. Each husband/boyfriend has his own trick for slipping into bed. Rex (Hayes MacArthur) wakes Leigh (Olivia Munn) to openly communicate how hogging the bed makes him feel. Dave (Kyle Bornheimer) has a pretty sweet trick to make the dog wake Julia (Christine Woods) up. Vance (David Walton) just screams at Amy (Mary Elizabeth Ellis.)

So you see we’re dealing with three different caricatures of couples. Rex and Leigh are the lovey dovey new age self-help type. Vance and Amy are the volatile, passionate type. Dave and Julia are the reasonable type, but they have enough crazy habits so they’re not just the straight men.

The couples are likeable enough in their schtick. Munn and MacArthur calling each other “cherished partner” and bringing Vietnamese hors d’oeuvres to game night is cute. Bornheimer and Woods really seem like they love each other and they’re just amused by the shenanigans that suck them in. Ellis really sells the bipolar emotions, singing “I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” with the wrong words but double the passion, and making out with Vance within seconds on fighting.

Vance is actually a horrible person. I won’t judge Walton yet because it’s how the character is written but this is beyond the caricature of the pain in the ass we may have in our lives. Vance actually wants to crash Julia and Dave’s anniversary. That’s a sociopath. So five out of six are likeable.

The show plays with time like “How I Met Your Mother,” showing a game night feud backwards, Memento style for comedic effect. Title cards say things like “How not to spend your anniversary,” which was more obvious than “Frasier” title cards ever were. So they’re going to have to find their own format if they want the show to last.

Obviously I’m not raving about “Perfect Couples” but I like it enough to see if it gets better. Maybe I’ll watch the first season or maybe I’ll just wait to hear if other people start liking it. Of all the midseason shows I’ve watched, it’s definitely in the upper half, if not the top percentile.

“I’d probably say people have broken up with me because they’re like, ‘Oh, you just want to have sex too much’” Munn joked. “That’s what I want to go on the record. ‘Sometimes you’re too awesome and you want sex too much and you cook all the time.’”

That explains it. Too much sex with Olivia Munn. Who would want that? “Well, I think too much sex is when you can’t walk anymore,” Munn continued. “That would be a good barometer.”

But seriously, Munn is saying she encourages sex. For real. “I think that every healthy relationship, there’s ebbs and flows but really, you have someone that’s your best friend and you also want to have sex with them. It’s very important. When people don’t have sex relationships, that’s not healthy. I did the hot athletic tall guy, the really suave guy. Really, at the end of the day, all that stuff goes away and it’s just the two people in bed. It’s how you connect to that person. I just really want a nice guy that’s funny, that also makes me laugh but also I’m attracted to as well. I hate when people say oh, sense of humor and nice. I mean, you want to be attracted to him. My range of what I like in guys is changing.”

But, being Olivia Munn, she went into explicit detail. “I prefer lights on because I feel like I like to see what’s happening. Penises are like snowflakes. Everyone is different so you want to really know what’s happening.”

And if you’re waiting for that one special someone, Munn is against that. She doesn’t want to be anyone’s first time. “I would feel that’s a lot of pressure. I would say my suggestion is to any virgin out there, have sex as soon as you can. Whoever it is, just do it.”

Munn got that out of the way a while ago. “I was 18 with a boy that was five years older. I remember afterwards my first words were, ‘Is that it?’ He was very excited.”

See, your first time isn’t such a big deal. “I’ve never had sex again,” Munn joked. “I was 18, that was the one and only time.”

“Perfect Couples” premieres January 20, with a more family friendly Olivia Munn.

The Weinstein Co. is off-setting the casting of Sarah Jessica Parker in I Don’t Know How She Does It by jamming this thing full with nerd-crushes.”Mad Men‘s” Christina Hendricks and”The Daily Show‘s” Olivia Munn have agreed to distract the audience in the new romantic comedy.

Hendricks will play a friend of Parker’s who is plagued with back problems. Munn plays a colleague of Parker’s at the financial firm where she is a high-powered career woman who juggles her busy work life with motherhood. To ensure this film achieves total vanillability, Seth Myers, Pierce Brosnan, and Kelsey Grammer have all joined in unspecified roles, though it’s believed Myers will play the character that continually breaks character. (LA Times)

In a bid to make the program more fappable, "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" has added Olivia Munn as the new "Senior Asian Correspondent." Munn appeared on last night’s program to report the plight of Vietnamese fishermen effected by the spill in the Gulf. She will continue to appear throughout the coming weeks as she continues to try out for the show.

I can understand Olivia’s wanting to be on a show where her co-host doesn’t seek every opportunity to feel her up, but I really feel like she’d fit better as the "Senior Nerd Correspondent." If anyone can get the truth out of an overweight virgin in a Destro costume, it’s her.

Olivia Munn is sick and tired of the way Ringlin Brothers is abusing their circus elephants, so she decided to take all of her clothes off in support. What does one have to do with the other? Something about nature. But who cares, Olivia is naked on a billboard at the intersection of Highland and Wilshire in Los Angeles. That’s like fifteen minutes from my office. If I gaze through my Bird Watching Enthusiast brand binoculars I can see a crowd of pantless men circling her visage and chanting at this very moment. Preach  Olivia Munn :

These beautiful animals are meant to roam free in nature and live wonderful, long lives. But instead, they’re chained up, electro-shocked and beat by employees of Ringling Bros all in the hopes that we, the public, will pay to see these giant majestic creatures standing on a stupid little ball.

I’m totally against animal cruelty, but if Olivia really wanted my full attention she would have shown more cleavage. Seriously, her recent Maxim shoot was more revealing. So until I see pics of Olivia prancing daintily through the African outback in nothing but her birthday suit I’m going to reserve my judgement.

Olivia Munn has, pretty much, all but conquered the small screen, co-hosting”Attack of the Show!”, as well as modeling for many magazines, including Playboy (though she did keep her clothes on. Boo!!!), Maxim, and Men’s Health. You can see her on the big screen in Date Night this weekend and in Iron Man 2 this May.

Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau was forced to leave Olivia Munn‘s cameo on the cutting room floor when the tone of the sequel shifted to become darker. Perhaps fearing the wrath of a million deflated nerdboners, he lovingly reinserted Munn into the film in a new mystery role. She tells Complex:

You’re in two gigantic movies this year. Let’s talk about Iron Man 2 first because it’s f*cking Iron Man 2.
Olivia Munn: Actually, they just gave me another role in the film. I had to reshoot all of my scenes.

What if you’d stayed on the cutting room floor?
Olivia Munn: I would’ve started crying.

Sexy crying, of course. Which character from the Marvel universe will Munn portray? There have been rumors swirling that she would play Scarlet Witch or Iron Maiden for awhile now. More importantly, will it involve spandex or a leather bodysuit while sauntering in slow-motion to cock-rock? Knowing Favreau, yes.

MYMAG‘s mission statement is to "give the world’s most interesting people a chance to showcase what inspires them." Well, maybe they plan to do that with future issues because for their kick-off they’ve chosen Olivia Munn, Steve Aoki, and BRETT RATNER to play editor-in-chief. Says Ratner threw his buttocks:

I don’t know, dude. You seem like the type who’s into collage-making? If you flip through the pages of RAT-MAG, you’ll find articles about Michael Jackson, Roman Polanski, and Miley Cyrus (surprisingly you won’t find any glittery unicorn stickers or cheese-glued pages). In summation, Brett Ratner’s favorite topics are Michael Jackson, Roman Polanski, and Miley Cyrus. If that girl from iCarly goes missing, authorities should look no further than Ratner. If he runs, release the hounds. The smell of Hostess Snowballs will lead a path directly to him.

This afternoon, Olivia Munn, Kevin Pereira, Blair Butler and producers behind G4′s megahit ATTACK OF THE SHOW held court in Room 5AB of the San Diego Convention Center for a little over an hour.  The line to get in looked like it went about half the length of the entire San Diego Convention Center, and we’re willing to bet over 500 people had to be turned away in the end.  Too bad.  Everyone who did get in received a complimentary kazoo and glowstick (more on these later)

Introducing the show was none other than Apple’s "Steve Jobs," and we have his entire 4-minute address here.  Fast forward to the end if you just want a glimpse of Ms. Munn stepping out to her adoring fans.

The AOTS gang presented a few clips, including a classic one of Kevin and Olivia squaring off in a hot sauce eating contest, based on this little gem.  (SPOILER ALERT: It gave Olivia diarrhea) They also showed a great fake trailer spoofing the Liam Neeson actioner TAKEN, but with Kevin playing Inspector Gadget and Olivia playing Penny.  Penny gets kidnapped by Dr. Claw and… well, Gadget go-go-goes on a killing spree.  The audience ate it up like the fat guy dressed like Skeletor at the Mrs. Fields down in the convention center lobby.  

Other highlights included "one of the largest live group Tweets ever to hit the Twittersphere," where the entire audience was encouraged to send their funniest tweets about AOTS and attach an #aotspanel hashtag to them.

Our tweet didn’t even make the top three.  That might have been because we didn’t follow directions.  Or it was because it just wasn’t funny.  We’ll go with the latter.

The winning tweet by audience cheers? Schmaniel’s "AP #aotspnanel I think it just cured my cancer. Nevermind… it’s still there."

This led to the most akward moment of the panel, when "Schmaniel" came up to the front to claim his prize, and it was revealed that he actually, in fact, had cancer.  His shirt read something to the effect of, "I had a brain tumor removed.  How are you?" And for a split second, Kevin and Olivia were noticeably stymied as to how to quip back.  It got even weirder when Schmaniel busted out a piece of this tumor for Olivia to take a look at.  Ever the sport, she did. 

Comedian Doug Benson also showed up at the end of the Q&A to essentially announce that he’ll be doing animated shorts for upcoming episodes of ATTACK OF THE SHOW…

And finally, per Kevin Pereira’s request – as we were being kicked out of Room 5AB for running over – was possibly the first ever Comic-Con Nerd Rave.  Here’s a clip:
