Huh. Here’s hoping the fearsome council of vampire leaders forgot to bring their magic swords or whatever. The movie’s coming out on November 18, so try not to run afoul of any sexy vampires and/or werewolves before then.

Kristen Stewart was mentioned in the Variety announcement but she’s expected to join for two reasons. First,  she was attached two years ago and has stated the project is a passion project. Second, the director is her moms, Jules Stewart.

K-11 refers to a section of L.A. County Jail reserved for homosexuals. If she can join, Stewart will play an autistic transgender named Butterfly who starts a relationship with a tatted up methhead transgender who Nikki Reed was originally slated to play. Reed’s no longer attached and there’s no confirmation on whether or not Jason Mewes will now play a role. Don’t try to put Jason Mewes in a box, man.

So, let me get this right. They both play women who became men so that they could have relationships with men who used to be women. Sounds like an Inception-themed porno. Cue up that horn but don’t do anything torrid with it.

Hayden Panettiere is wasting no time in becoming Hollywood’s next Scream Queen. With Scream 4 under her belt, she’s now joining the thriller Downer’s Grove. Prom Night’s Nelson McCormick is directing the script adapted by Bret Easton Ellis, with Panettiere, Nikki Reed, and Rebecca De Mornay having signed on.

The film follows the story of Downers Grove, a cursed suburb of Chicago. At the end of each school year, one senior dies a bizarre death. I don’t know if the storyline will span a few years to ensure more victims, or if it all revolves around a single graduating class. I’m also not sure why these seniors don’t drop out or move to another school district. Explain yourself, Easton Ellis! (Variety)

Hot teen vampire worlds are about to collide. Twilight‘s Nikki Reed will be joined by "True Blood’s" blood-teary eyed Deborah Ann Woll in Aaron Harvey’s Catch .44. The fanged duo will join Malin Akerman to form a trio of gorgeous assassins who’s next mission may be their last when they’re pitted between Bruce Willis’s crime boss and Forest Whitaker‘s psychotic hitman. Something tells me he’s not a sharp-shooter. Just sayin’.

Honestly though, why are hot girls always playing assassins in movies? In my experience the prettier the girl, the more likely they are to find some desperate nerd to garrote their marks. Or help them move. It depends on whether or not you were raised in Detroit. (Deadline)

Nikki Reed wrote the screenplay for the movie Thirteen at fifteen. It would have been more impressive if she would have written it at thirteen, but whatever. I guuuuess it’s still quite an accomplishment. Now Nikki is reprising her role of Rosalie in New Moon. At 21 years of age.

A word from Nikki: “I had hoped that girls all over the world would relate to Thirteen.”

I’m sure all the slutty, druggy ones did. Courtney Love probably balled while watching that movie. Balled right into her mound of cocaine.
